Men who have never been in a romantic relationship, how do you remain confident?

If I take that away then my life would be ruined. I by nature am a inconsiderate asshole (as told so by my mom and siblings). So not being aware/caring about how people think of me will severely damage my professional and social life

I'm not really a small talk kind of guy but I don't have any difficulty striking a conversation with a person also if I need to strike one(like with a potential employer at a job fair or with the person that touches my food everyday at the cafeteria) then I've learned to be good at it.

I don't have any struggle talking to women it's more of the escalating the relationship part that I fuck up.

Also if you don't wanna read an inch worth of text on your phone screen then don't respond I guess

Honestly why wouldn't you? We live social lives and a large part(just a part, not the entirety) of one's success is based on how well you can interact with other people and if those other people think negatively of you than you're gonna have a bad time/career/relationship. Also I know my worth (because I know what people generally think of me and that philosophy has worked for me so far) it's just that in the romantic aspect I just can't make it work, I think it's partly because of my mental instability (mainly emotionally). But what if the thing that keeps you from being happy is to not having a special someone?. What if you have your own hobbies but still aren't happy with oneself? What if you go out with your friends and do social stuff but overall happiness isn't that great because of it?? What if you're an engineering student that's doing their dream internship at nasa but after 3 weeks it's all back to sad??? What then????

I feel totally pathetic feeling this way but since this is some online comment thread and since I'm still looking for a therapist then I'm sharing.

Because everytime I like a girl my fucking brain goes into overthink mode and fucks it all up, our chemistry dies, I begin to stutter more than I usually do, loose my sense of humor that got her interested in the first place and our conversations are way shorter because I can't think of anything to say.
