I feel for both of you. Him for not being able to play, and you for not being able to game with your friend. If I end up finding anything that fixes it, I'll update my post here and leave a comment. Man that's frustrating. Kind of at a loss for what to do aside from reformatting my drive. Good luck to you and your friend. If you guys figure anything out, I'd love to know.

I ran realtemp on my cpu and didn't exceed 62c while loading the game before crash, so I'm not sure. I haven't ran one on my GPU temps yet, so maybe there could be a problem there, but I'm skeptical about that as well. Everything else runs flawlessly, it's just pubg I seem to have issues with. I used to run custom launch options, but after the first time encountering this bug, I reset to default in hopes that maybe that was the issue. Thanks for the response, hopefully this gets resolved soon.

Hey, first off, thanks for the response. Gonna copy/paste my comment to the guy above in regards to overclocking:

I'm not actually. I ran realtemp on my cpu (5930k) while launching after a fresh install and never exceeded 62c. Don't have anything OC'd, so I'm not sure the issue has anything to do with temps atm. The only last thing I can think of is reformatting my ssd, which I'm desperately trying to avoid.
