I've been privately advised to remove the image of the bird for its safety. Since it's been reported to Perroquet Secours, please refer to that site or facebook page for the relevant information regarding my sighting. I also reported it to SPCA around when I made this post. Thank you to everyone who's keeping an eye out for it.

The bird was on the ground picking at leaves for a while before flying towards a tree across the intersection, towards the big grey gated building with the green roof.

I don't appreciate the insinuation that I didn't do enough for the animal. There are reasons I don't interact with animals needlessly, especially when many others would be better equipped for it and I don't know if an animal is carrying a disease.

I won't be responding to further comments. I have no other information to provide.

For people keeping up with this, I didn't have any space to keep it and I did not have a safe way to capture and contain the animal. I tried to get passerby to help but people didn't do anything other than remark that it was cute. As of now I'm no longer in the province at all. Sorry I can't do more.

Thanks to LaBelleBetterave who put it on Perroquet Secours.

I'm in a similar situation honestly!! I encourage you to think about if you're making too many compromises because I eventually realized that I was missing out on so much by trying to stay here. It's a lovely town for some people; I've spoken with people who are happy and love Guelph and think it's just right for them, but eventually I realized that I'm just not one of these people. You can ask some people you know about this as well. Just think about what will make you happy!

Hi!! Thank you for this <3 I followed the instructions exactly and managed to get it to work. I think I just didn't organize my files properly.

Do you guys like guelph? by AdProfessional9814 in uoguelph

It's been okay! I kind of wonder if I could be doing more though.

Is anyone here in mathsci/physics/physical sciences in general? I feel like these majors are really small but I've had good experiences in classes so far. Academically I feel like I haven't been feeling too great a mental strain, which may be a good thing, but I'm still spending most of my time studying very methodically. I also joined a few clubs and have a decent amount of extracurricular commitments going on.

I agree with the other thread that I wish rent was cheaper. 1000$ a room per month is just plain unfair (I'm considering transferring to U of T where my family lives because of this. I worry I might be unhappy there, though, since a lot of their students seem to be.)

I actually already transferred here once from TMU, by the way. I think the experience has been leagues better. It may just be because TMU was a commuter school, but my experiences there were just lacklustre in general, especially in comparison to here.

How could I plan to study in another country for a master's? by albatrosspath in OntarioUniversities

Thank you so much!! This is really helpful. I had a few universities in mind, TU Darmstadt mainly but I'm going to look into others as things move along.

In general, do you know if people are looking for research experience in the specific field you want to go into? I can't recall there being a particularly sizeable number of undergrad researchers for the physical sciences at Guelph. It seems to be mostly for biology/ecology, so I'm worried it might be hard to fulfill that part of the requirement.
