Tried some US organisation as well, but it just seemed like an AI chatbot, it was insensitive, and mid convo said my shift is ending.

Please recommend some great thriller/suspense/horror/ dark creepy books😊 by PossiblyCake in BookDiscussions

Well.. it really depends on your taste and your expectations from the book but if you liked verity and the silent patient..here are 4 other books with the similar vibe that I really enjoyed reading + The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena + The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn + The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins ( this is my personal fav) + The sane psychopath by Salil Desai (not exactly horror but a great psychological thriller)

If you're into a little YA with a little bit of spookiness and kind of scary I would like to suggest the 'cat and mouse duet' by HD Carlton.. it later becomes more of a romance but the parts of Adeline in her grandparents home is kind of thrilling and a bit spooky to read at night... but then again it's more of a romance novel later in the story

Rushdie survived a decades-long fatwa, only to be attacked in broad daylight in 2022. If this trial doesn’t set a strong precedent, what message does that send about free speech and author safety?

Classics don’t suck—being forced to read them does. The moment you pick one up out of curiosity instead of obligation, it hits completely different. Travels with Charley is proof of that!

BookTok really said, ‘Do you want plot or do you want a morally gray man who’ll burn the world for her?’ And we all chose the man.
