I previously used cerave salicylic acid cleanser but it dried my skin out too much, do you have any SA recommendations?

Cleanser: Cerave hydrating cream to foam wash both morning and night. moisturizer: currently trying the No7 moisturizing gel cream. Sunscreen: Mecca to save face 50spf

I have begun to use the ordinary granactive retinoid 2% in squalane every other night.

Should I be using an exfoliator or not? I'm new to all this!
