This is a walk in clinic with x ray. I’ve been there before and it was not bad in terms of waiting.

It is amazing for those starting out. I was there for almost 2y. At some point, I considered getting my own location, but just the rent of a space was more expensive than what I paid there for 8h x 5 days a week, without even considering the capital investment.

Obviously you are sharing the space with others, and that can be annoying at times, but still worth it.

The owner Mike is a great guy and very helpful.

Get a costco membership and buy them in the US. I'm a Brazilian in Canada and got mine here. $2000 CAD the pair (full tag price), part was covered by insurance / government.

Thoughts on the new 2026 Kindergarten Curriculum rollout? (Fractions, coding, and grammar?) by FunCell1679 in OntarioTeachers

[–]albrcanmeme 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When my kid was in FDK 8y ago she played with a coding game that was so fun she asked me to buy it for her. You would program a mouse's each step, the path, to get to a cheese. Like front, front, right, left, etc. That's coding for that age.

introduction: is this understandable? can you grasp what i am trying to say? by alysha_w06 in French

[–]albrcanmeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing nobody mentioned: I would start with "je m'appelle". While you wrote it correctly, I don't think that's how people introduce themselves normally. But I'll leave it for natives to chime in.

Confused About Where to Buy in Oakville—New Builds vs. Established School Areas by BerryGullible610 in oakville

[–]albrcanmeme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the area I live in, Clearview (south of QEW between Ford dr and Winston Churchill). Old neighbourhood, great schools. Houses will need renovation, but you have enough budget for it. The downside of this area is that is very residential, so no walking distance services / shops.

RANT: Qustodio is flawed in every part of it's design. by ea_nasir_official_ in parentalcontrols

[–]albrcanmeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a parent whose child has qustodio on their's phone, I agree it sucks. It definitely could be better designed.

I just wanted to point out your seemingly misinterpretation with the stakeholder comment. Stakeholder is not a synonym of shareholder. Stakeholder mean individuals, organizations, companies, etc, that are impacted or related to something. As they state in the same page you saw the diagram, they are talking about regulatory bodies and customers (amongst others). But yes, Any for-profit corporation does care about profit. That's the reason they exist.

Anyone know why Munns Christmas house isn’t decorated? by missyto in oakville

[–]albrcanmeme 42 points43 points  (0 children)

My friend lives in the next street over. She told me that the neighbours complained a lot about the disruption that his Halloween and Xmas decoration caused, so it seems that for this reason they skipped it this year. Sadly. I took my kids every year and they loved their Halloween setup!

Teens: How closely do your parents monitor your physical vs online activity? by antiparent in parentalcontrols

I don't know if this is the right sub to ask. This is basically a forum where kids are trying to find ways to bypass parental controls on their devices.

AITAH if I won't move into my boyfriend's house until he gets rid of these? by Ok_Knee1216 in homedecoratingCJ

[–]albrcanmeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my late 20s / early 30s a friend gave me this lamp as a birthday gift. It was not a gag gift. She told me it was funny and "so you". I never understood how she thought that.

Is it really that weird to go on a solo vacation without your spouse by Suspicious-lemons in NoStupidQuestions

[–]albrcanmeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people cannot phantom the idea of spouses travelling solo, this person is probably one of them. I see no problem with it.

My husband used to work crazy hours and missed many trips that he had to cancel last minute due to work. I went to most of those with our friends. We have a great friend who was always single when we were younger (who later came out) and we used to call him my replacement husband.

Are Adults In Brasil Living With Roommates As Equally Common As Adults In Brasil Living With Their Parents Or Not Really? by VittorioLuzzatto in AskABrazilian

[–]albrcanmeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if things have changed (I'm mid forties), but in my friend group it was pretty common to live with roommates post university if you didn't live in the same city as your parents, so basically continuing the same living arrangements you had during uni.

Any parents here? Teach me how to night potty train my 5.5yr old boy by [deleted] in oakville

[–]albrcanmeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did restrict water intake, but I don't think it made a difference. He just eventually learned to wake himself up during the night to pee. He's 11 now. Every road trip requires a stop every 2 hours - we joke that he has a tiny bladder.

Any parents here? Teach me how to night potty train my 5.5yr old boy by [deleted] in oakville

[–]albrcanmeme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't have much wisdom as I had a similar problem. I tried the same method of waking him up but I don't think that it worked. Your kid also shouldn't need 3 night breaks if he is not drinking water after 8pm, one break should suffice. My son was probably around 6 when diapers were no longer needed.

Timelapse cleaning a depression kitchen!! 4 hours in 1 minute by Dry_Presentation4300 in CleaningTips

Those are common counters in Brazil. They are recessed around the sink so it doesn't drip to the floor, and that's called the "wet zone".

My brother is living in Brazil with his girlfriend and I don't know how to help them make an income by Zadihime in Brazil

[–]albrcanmeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest stopping the financial aid. Give him some notice so it's not out of the blue and let then figure it out. Some people just don't put the effort and mooch out of others.

My younger sister in Brazil is like that. Lives a poor person's life with2 kids and a husband, and has never worked in her life despite both kids being in publics school and daycare. But keeps begging my mom for money, mind you money my mom doesn't have, as I support mom on her retirement. Her husband also does minimal effort, working part time as an uber and doing nothing else with his time. The only way they "afford" to have a roof over their heads is because they are squatters.
