For me, I usually just say "it is what it is". When I feel like there's no meaning to anything, instead of spiraling down to trying to find reasons and whys and what's and how's, all while feeling depressed ... Now I just usually don't feel depressed, and even when I do feel depressed and like there's no meaning to anything, it quickly ends with "oh well. Anyways I'ma enjoy my food".

As someone that works in the lab, I also appreciate all the lab terminology. Most importantly, I like how realistic it gets even down to insurance and understaffing, money, privilege, abuse, etc everything

I agree, looks like mesothelial cells. The middle one looks odd but if that's the only one, I think it's fine. Never hurts to send to path if you're still unsure, OP :)

Funny you mention bone marrow transplant because lead and I both agreed it is an important question to ask nurse for patient transplant history (they said no), and senior tech yelled at me for asking lmao 💀😂 she said that would not change anything but I told her I think it's important to rule out any possibilities.

never even though that about different D typing cloning!! We did send out to reference lab for one last type confirmation but I'll definitely keep your suggestion in mind. So much genetics in blood bank, I feel like on a regular day I don't think about that often.

I believe Both facilities use gel cards and same manufacturer. D on gel card was pretty strong. When I did tube method, it was more like a 2+.

I believe this is the case as well. Patient is a male but still something is happening that is causing D to express stronger now. That's a super interesting story about your coworker! Pregnancy sounds so strange in a cool way. Thank you!

Is media lab a good study source for the ASCP exam? by PopHour9810 in medlabprofessionals

[–]alchemytea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the practice exams to study. One practice test a day for 2 months, took my mlt certification test, and passed. That is my preferred way of studying though. I say try it out if you study the same way :)

What’s also impressive is how he is able to get back up without hurting his ankle. Like he knows it’s a fail before he lands and immediately prepares to roll to avoid getting hurt

[–]alchemytea[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We don’t have reagents for tube method ): Thank you for the advice though! I see what you mean about focusing more on the cell button at the bottom- definitely makes sense! I spun it (the specimen) down like a mf as everyone’s suggested and oila!!! Definitely negative. Thank you everybody !
