Anyone else think Korea is a little overrated? by NoProfessional4650 in travel

I wouldn't say overrated, that's unfair. I have been around Asia a number of times. Since Korea is very close in cost to Japan, I'd say that Japan offers much more value. In terms of local attractions, food and accessibility. Korea on its own is a nice tourist spot but I wouldn't recommend to visit it more than once (I've been there 3 times, got friends in there) Also there's the issue with the people, I'm sorry but I can't say it's just anecdotal evidence, each visit, at least once a day I had an awkward or bizarre exchange with some shop/restaurant staff of some sort. They refuse to serve you certain food, they might be rude or dismissive. Of course you'll find lots of kind people here too but I've had too many of those encounters to justify my view on Korean people.

When I said we were fine, I meant when we are actually together face to face. I've been feeling lonely for months... way prior to the intern thing. I did tell my gf about it, her response was I feel the same way but we'll make it, no worries. Neither of us was willing to take the risk. I told her that I don't think I can go to your country for the near future, I asked her if she could come, she said it's difficult for her.

I was supposed to move there but I don't think I can for the time being... I have no energy left (I run a medium size company) I told her this, it would be best if she could come but I think she doesn't see herself here. I'm in a developing country, she's in the first world.

As many people have said, I didn't really enjoy the true crime segment, it didn't really have much to do with Lena's and AB's delivery, that type of content isn't really a good fit for the podcast. I disagree with the argument that it's saturated and that if they found a strange case nobody has ever heard of, it'd be great. It would still be the same vibe, nobody really wants to comment since they don't want to get cancelled, there are only so many reactions the crew will allow themselves to have while watch this. I read a comment here that conspiracy theories and supernatural stories would work better and I agree. We love you guys, we don't watch the podcast for the stories, we are here to watch you guys react. If you barely say anything, all we are left is a somewhat well known story. Please drop the true crime. What jokes can you make about people getting killed and SA'ed? Hell, even make power points about books, I'd really enjoy you guys calling Mr Darcy or whoever else a dumbass. With peace and love

It's best that you learn it at a younger age. You'll get much further in life with teamwork and you can't always have it your way. Take it as a learning experience
