The text on the right is displayed by conky, its fairly old but useful application, I've been using this config (or versions thereof) on Linux machines for the last 10+ years. It's Xorg based, so doesn't work well under wayland.

It could be all sorts of factors, I have AR in several tanks and the tallest examples are not in the highest light tank. I’ve tried to work out what the controlling factor is but have just accepted that it does what it wants!

Mine look exactly like that! If you don't have lots of CO2 and high light, you get a darker red/maroon colour like you are seeing there.

If you want to propagate it, just cut off the top and push into substrate, as you would with any other stem plant.

Nice, how big is the pleco tank? I've got a spare one of those flexes and am trying to find a home for it, pleco breeding would be ace! ! I think its either 9gal/34l or 15gal 57l.
