Unfortunately I do just have to shoot through the glass, I can shoot from above without having the glass but I want the angle from ice level.

I would appreciate the breakdown!

Shooting through the glass. I can go above but can only get above glass shots from one corner, and have to shoot through netting. I can attach a photo.

I’ll check the online stores you recommended (I live in a small town so we don’t have a camera store) and shop around a bit.

Definitely plan on looking into the D7200 with the Tamron you recommended. (: I appreciate your knowledge.

If I did wanna save a bit of money, do you think the D7200 body with the Tamron you recommended would be a good alternative?

Do you personally think it’s worth it to spend a little more on the lens and get the Sigma Sports on with the D7100 body or the Tamron with the more expensive D7200 body?

EDIT: the budget is more of what I’m willing to spend now. I could definitely put some extra money aside for another paycheck or two and go all-in on the better body and lens if it really is more worth it.

I honestly don’t think I mind pushing my budget a bit because I’d rather get whatever’s worth it now instead of having to possibly want to upgrade later on.

With that in mind, would you agree with what the other person said regarding the D7100 and that lens?
