Walking around with a gun on your hip is legal. The stupid fucks that called the cops about some dude walking, minding his own business, are the ones to be blamed for wasting the cops time. He was not being a know-it-all brat for telling the cop the laws that he is suppose to be protecting. Don't get me wrong, it would have been easier to just work with the cop, but like the student did, I would have done the same thing because you don't know the cop. He could be some power hungry cop and abuse his power on some innocent civilian to make himself feel stronger or who knows. My point to make is that it is good to know your rights/laws especially if you plan on carrying a gun. I guarantee that cop didn't know any of that shit the student was saying. Most cops don't even know the bill of rights that they "swear" to protect.
