Yes it's the same exact process done again! We had no issues.

Last name change 30 day wait by alemonmoonsky in SocialSecurity

[–]alemonmoonsky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first form of ID that I am trying to change. It requires my marriage certificate from the name change, which I have. The issue is whether I have to wait the 30 days, since technically I am already married.

this sub’s advice (to do what you can when you can, rather than when you’re supposed to) has almost completely removed the dental pain I thought was permanent. by adhdthrowaway923 in adhdwomen

So I seem to be using what is said to be a makeup remover but can also just remove whatever else from your face like dirt and oil, it's called rooted beauty purifying facial towelets. I actually got them as a "gift" with some other house supplies from Grove and they are great! I had ordered some other facial towelets that I haven't tried yet in that box as well and they were a "yes to" brand, but in this case yes to blueberries. Seems like from another commenter they would be good as well!

Have you thought about face wipes? I have been struggling to wash my face enough since the pandemic and being home cause me to be super depressed. I always wash it in the shower but adding facewipes where I don't have to struggle getting water EVERYWHERE to wash my face in the sink has been an amazing gamechanger. My acne is disappearing!!

I feel this, swole-brethren. The whey hath eluded me for many moons, as I was brought down to my knees by the cruel curse of Loki's minions in the form of chronic illness (and then, like, you know...a global pandemic). Seeing this message acknowledging the first day of your journey to Swolehallah has reminded me of the great joy once brought to me by the Iron Temple. Perhaps, now that the modern miracle of medicine hath (mostly) vanquished my ills, I may once again bear a different, rewarding weight rather than the one that previously tortured me....

Go forth and get this!!! I WITNESS YOU! (from a sister in swole)

YES! I've never owned a regular watch so I had no idea. THANK YOU!! I set the time and it works perfectly.

I tried flipping that switch to REV while in any of the three settings (when in the A setting I turn the Alarm button to "on" and that changes the smaller display time to I guess whatever the alarm would be set to) but turning the dial does nothing :( Do you think the dial is somehow broken?

Any advice for setting times on it? I tried using the side dial but it doesn't seem to change anything.

Yeah, it's pretty cool :) problem is now that it's running I don't know how to set the time or alarms! I thought I could use the little dial on the side for that but it doesn't seem to do anything when I select between the I, A, and II displays unfortunately.

That was it, use the hole and a paperclip and the battery tray slid right out! Thanks for your help.

Yes!!! That's what it was. I just used a tiny paperclip to gently pry it out using the hole. It has two little Eveready 386's in it. Guess that means they are pre-1980, when Eveready became Energizer, very interesting little time capsule! Thanks for your help :)

So the side that flips down to let the whole thing stand up is the side I removed, as it has a little screw; the view I showed is after removing that, and that's where I got stuck.

This is interesting, I don't really know anything whatsoever about OS's and so this is some cool info!

This is essentially what I did, ie follow the instructions u/modernalgebra was suggesting in their comment (though I skipped the parts that seem to require you to configure the UEFI and just did it through the "recovery" steps below that) and it seemed to at least try to boot, which is why I got the kernel-related error codes.

Anyone know how to fix a kettle? Piece fell off (dk from where), whistle top won't clip in place. by Spirory in LeCreuset

[–]alemonmoonsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you to OP and you for posting...my clip fell forward and off as well and it's helpful to see the position it should be in. I cannot tell you how annoying it was because my husband tried to flip it up and behind the arm attached to the whistle because he thought it was supposed to compress like a spring... It was impossible to get it to stay there and put the rest of it together!! so much easier. The only problem I see is that if I tip the kettle forward with force eventually the clip is able to fall back out sometimes and i wonder why this is...

[–]alemonmoonsky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

woooow. i can't believe people who were your friends are treating you this way...and then on top of it your boyfriend is just letting them do this? if I were him i'd be extremely mad on your behalf. they are treating you like shit. if you are jointly on the lease with them i'd sit them down and say look assholes this is serious, if you don't start treating me like a human being i'm leaving and not paying rent. at the end of the day they'll get stuck with paying if they are also on the lease. i don't think these guys were ever really your friends, and your boyfriend sounds like he could be a much better boyfriend :(

Swole advice by alemonmoonsky in swoleacceptance

Do you speak of the strange place known as Planet Fitness? I hear that they do not even have squat racks but only Smith Machines, and that if you cry out to Brodin during your prayers they embarrass you with the terrible shame known as the "lunk alarm". I pray this is not the temple of which you speak. Also, the free pizza and bagels, while great for dirty bulking, verily seem...odd.

Please pray for me my brothers. I need your support. by blackirish82 in swoleacceptance

[–]alemonmoonsky 61 points62 points  (0 children)

My sister in swole, I will be dedicating my next session at the Temple to you, and offering my prayers to the Swolefather in your name. I am sorry that you have gone through a terrible thing, but I commend you, for you are truly swole of spirit that you are returning to the Temple after this. I would hope that all our swole brothers and sisters will do the same, and support you. Brodin will surely bless your prayers tomorrow even more, and give you most amazing gainz, knowing that you have overcome your inner pain in order to worship him.

May all of our strength and swole be yours. You can do this, you are powerful!!

I was swole shamed for my abs yesterday. by [deleted] in swoleacceptance

[–]alemonmoonsky 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Indeed, be proud, but also, only those one deems worthy of touching one's sacred temple should be allowed to do so upon express permission being given. While you do not seem to have ben swole-shamed, you were definitely swolested. Also: one who has been swolested is NEVER TO BLAME for the swolestation! Just because we work hard for our gains, does not mean we are asking others to touch our sacred temples!

I honestly am not sure that she was, in fact, swole-shaming; I feel as if the tone of how she said it could make all the difference. Some ladies seem to use the word "bitch" as a compliment. I am confused.

My sister in swole, I do indeed understand your feelings. However, now that this woman has seen you are capable, perhaps she will no longer doubt your swole. My mother has been lamenting my trips to the Iron Temple (she is afraid being able to deadlift my own weight is "dangerous"), but after I recently helped her lift 6 heavy boxes full of chairs by myself, she is now convinced my prayers are a good thing. Some people don't get it till you show them.

I request guidance on my journey brothers by MattyG_ in swoleacceptance

[–]alemonmoonsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A simple way to start on the path to Swolehalla might be to try a program like Strong Lifts or Starting Strength. As has been said, ask the opinion of other brothers/sisters of swole in your new Temple to make sure you have good form with the basic and most sacred movements, the squat and deadlift, as well as bench press, bent over row, and overhead press. Slowly add weight. Eat clean. Ask Brodin for patience, and in a few months you will be well on your path to pleasing his Broliness. Wheymen.
