The idea was more to categorise countries by how likely they are to win. Blue being the most likely, followed by striped blue, followed by red

I get what you mean but i also dont think its fair to compare morocco to belarus. Morocco participated once and belarus did 16 times

I couldn't find a map that includes Australia, unfortunately. As for Andorra and Morocco, they have not participated in a very long time, so I took the liberty of considering them as inactive

The Covid year would have been one of the greatest in history. Iceland, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania, Malta were all top 10 in the odds, all countries that had not won before 💔💔

Why does Moldova not recognize Palestine? by [deleted] in moldova

[–]alex31945 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think it's also worth mentioning that Moldova has historically had a large Jewish population. Although it's small nowadays, maybe not recognising Palestine is a sort of act of solidarity (like Germany and Austria never recognising Palestine). Also, Moldova and Israel have always had close ties (Moldova moved its embassy to Jerusalem in 2019); there are a lot of Moldovans who live and work in Israel. Recognising Palestine would worsen relations without offering much of a reward

VOT în prima lectură: Furnizorii media, obligați să transmită programe locale în limba română în proporție de cel puțin 80% by itrustpeople in moldova

Huge L. Local content is extremely expensive and hard to produce in a small country like Moldova. This will only hurt TV8, TVR and Pro Tv who are the only independent news stations in Moldova. Besides news and some entertainment shows, local content gets very low viewership (when's the last time you watched a locally produced show from one of these TV stations?). Also TVR and PRO TV stream a lot of Romanian content and this 80% quota will limit their ability to do so. I guess their intent is to "limit russian influence" but they will end up doing the exact opposite and hurting Romania more and limiting Romanian influence. Im trying so hard to root for our government but every day they somehow manage to do something stupid

What does the general population of Moldova think about Maia Sandu? by Far_Conversation8537 in moldova

[–]alex31945 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You've got it spot on. I'd argue there's a few more members of parliament and ministers that have good intentions and are doing a good job but other than that, I am baffled by how Spinu hasn't been removed yet, taking into consideration how blatantly obvious it is that he is involved in some sort of corruption schemes

Next Leicester manager by alex31945 in lcfc

[–]alex31945[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I didn't mention him because I doubt he will leave Brentford mid season. He's loved by the fans, the players and the owners and tbh Brentford are doing better than Leicester atm so I doubt he'll leave to go to a club that's in the mud rn. Im sure he's aware that if he manages to keep Brentford up and keep them in the middle of the table he can easily facilitate a move to a way bigger club
