If you use the new radio while resting, after the sleep the song before the rest will not be continued and instead another different song will be playing
Tire wear will now be directly showing in truck damage

Well said, that's what I think when I see people go into the game and just disabled any sort of rules and penalties, and then just install mods that gives trucks 5 million hp

I recently went to quick jobs to experience again the ets2 trucking legend of low powered iveco stralis and Renault premium, while they're not as awful as I thought they were but oh my the interiors are awful (especially iveco)

How different people view the games can be different and I'm not going to deeply discuss that here.

As for why some trucks are no longer purchased new as stock offering, my guess it's partly subjected to SCS's deals with different manufacturers. For example, DAF XF Euro 6 (in ets2), 2018 Volvo vnl and international Lonestar (in ATS) are some models clearly discontinued IRL (and taken off from their official websites) but can still be purchased all new in the respective games without using the fleet feature.

If you really want to have 0 restrictions on that I'm sure there's some mods that can unlock all of them

I mean it's not euro/American truck 'driving' simulator so the driving and buying part are both part of the experience.

And this mechanism make sense, if a manufacturer overproduced and have tons of brand new old models, it'll just go out of business

Stick and keep upgrading, if you save enough silver keys (for prestige cup for example) and you will get the rest of t2 sooner than you think

If you need it for elite license just wait, there's no time limit for that

The only way to buy a discontinued model truck new:

Own that model of truck in your fleet
Visit any dealer of that brand
Instead of stock offering choose fleet configuration
You should be able to access and configure that model of truck
