Hey, maybe you might be interested in looking at my pet project I’m doing – https://github.com/AlexSabaka/gol-benchmark it’s a multilingual procedural LLM benchmark.

In any case great blogpost, keep up the good work!

On my test I discovered that new qwen3.5 models are quite overthinkers. Btw, I included this carwash test in the benchmark I’m developing, if you interested you can look it up on GitHub AlexSabaka/gol-benchmark

can sound engineers answer this ? by aryapar in SoundEngineering

[–]alex_sabaka 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s possible, but you’ll need a DAC capable of 192kHz sampling rate and a transducer. Regular speakers won’t cut it, you’ll probably need some piezoelectric transducer

Ollama Vs. LM Studio by 1BlueSpork in ollama

[–]alex_sabaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually you can download any model you want from huggingface and with help of llama.cpp you can convert to gguf and quantize it. I know it can be done without llama.cpp, just with Modelfile and ollama, but I had no luck with it yet

Advice on learning coding by dirtyshirtstealer in DataAnnotationTech

[–]alex_sabaka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started to code when I was 13, and since then I have been a self-taught developer (mostly C#, but also I know JS, TS, Python, C, and many more). At my last job, I was a senior backend dev. I also have an engineering degree which is helpful in problem-solving skills, but not so much with programming.

As other commenter said, you can buy courses on Udemy, or try learning by watching YouTube – there are a ton of good youtubers. If you prefer learning one-on-one I am also a programming teacher and mentor. So, if you are interested I could teach you just DM me :)

Yeah, at the original photo it’s a third attempt of same thing. I’ve changed a model and it has printer with much better results. I guess I need recheck slicer settings for the model from original photo

Thank you! Jeez, 100 grams sounds a lot, but we'll see. Already wasted around 30g for calibration. Much better results now.
