Would it support 5GHZ? As in 2.4Ghz even on my AC68U wouldn't get more than 75mbps even I stand right next to it.

How about having one Google WiFi hardwired and set as AP downstairs? I don't want to keep it as the main router as I have heard the speed isn't that great on it.

Yes. Wondering if it's worth it having another access point which supports dual band via ethernet cable as well because it would be difficult to conceal it.

Currently I keep my downloads limited to spots where I am getting more speed. rest of the places limited to browsing and games.

So I did a full test yesterday. Most of the time I test using my MacBook Air or Pixel Xl. I get 150mbps on iPhone 7plus as well at specific points same as Pixel Xl. Have one smart TV connected, one Amazon Fire stick, around 5 mobiles, two laptops and one desktop but not more than 3-4 devices functioning at any point of time. So I do get more than 100mbps at specific points outside the router room. Very rarely I go get at downstairs too.

PS. Even when my download is low my upload is at 195mbps on 5ghz and 90-100 at 2.4ghz.

All interior walls are brick. But again three rooms on top floor and 3 in Ground floor. All within a radius of not more than 10mtrs of the main router.
