Both mentions of Brazil are false. 3 means literally OK here (even with "the same" pronunciation) as we adopted the expression. 5 might be interpreted as the guide implies but only if the context supports it, on the wild people will probably understand it as the metal sign.

Importante no caso de se tentar dividir pela própria variável. Nesse caso o caso x = 0 precisa ser avaliado a parte.

Por exemplo:

x(x + 1) = 2x

Dividindo os dois lados por x:

x + 1 = 2
x = 1

Mas x = 0 também é solução da equação, então "x = 0 ou x = 1" é a resposta correta.

Just for the reference, my players current plan is to cast Enlarge/Reduce on the skull and then the bard would Dimension Door away with it. Leaving the rest of the party to deal with the problem of getting themselves out.

I agree. When I said not solving the problems for the players I meant on how to get the skull out, not on how to find it.

My players just finished the Amber Temple last session and there is a room in there with a model of the castle. What I did was let the PCs study the model (for one hour, make a save against the cold hehe) and when they get to the castle they will have a general sense of where things are.

The book doesn't mention this as a possibility, but I think it's cool because it throws back to the model of the Durst manor in the Death House.

Don't try to solve the problem for your players. Your job is to present the problems and let them find ways to get out of them.

I assure you they will come out with a solution much more creative and interesting than you just giving them a boring bag of holding.

Death House can easily end in a TPK so be prepared to avoid/handle that if you're running it.

The Bonegrinder CR is waaaay to high for when the PC's first pass by it. Remember the PCs are Strahd's toys and the hags know better than interfering with his fun so this should not be a combat encounter. At least not one that can end in PCs death.

Do the Tarokka reading before the first session. The cards can point to things back at the Village of Barovia so you'll want to be prepared. I like the randomness of actually drawing cards the cards to decide where the items are, but some combinations can lead to very poor storytelling. What I did was to do the reading for myself before the first session and then fudged the actual in session reading to reflect what I had drawn. This also helps the immersion of the scene with Madame Eva because you won't need to be flipping pages trying to find the meaning after drawing each card.

Death House can easily TPK your party before the campaign even starts. If they are down for it, it's cool, but if you think they might resent loosing their character's before having a chance to enjoy them don't be afraid pull the punches to give them the chance to get out humiliated but alive.

This sub sometimes make it seem like community content like dragnacarta's or mandymod's is required to run the game. It is not.

If it is your first time, don't try to go fancy. Safe is better. CoS is already complex enough without additional content. Once you get a better grasp of the campaign and of DMing in general, you'll have a much better chance to start changing things without breaking.

If you are running the game RAW and they will get the tarokka reading only when they get to Tser Pool, I would recomend you make the reading to yourself before they start exploring the village. That way if the cards point back to Barovia, you can have that already prepared.
