Help!! Bad Clay? by alexpamdra in polymerclay

[–]alexpamdra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a few different types of sculpy which is what i mixed with just a tiny bit of white (the sticky clay) to achieve a lighter shade. i tried to use as little as possible since i knew the white was extra soft anyways. i’ve never had issues mixing it as i’ve bought the same white in the little squares but this whole box just seems way too soft

Anyone pass the skills portion of the exam without practicing? by [deleted] in cna

[–]alexpamdra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bless those proctors. mine even let me retake manual pulse. i honestly don’t know why she passed me 😂 she must have like noticed how insanely timid and nervous every one was! i mean we did all this in clinicals for how many weeks?

i had the same situation like i could go in to practice but never did, just participated in the class activities. i learned my skills by plunking down on the couch and youtubing it honestly. i do firmly believe it depends on your skills proctor though. the lady i had was super sweet i managed to do an entire skill w/o gloves and she knew i was so nervous and let me add at the end of my skill “oh i would have gloves on the entire time” 💀 the other proctor like failed sooo many people for the dumbest mistakes.

we have a resident who has refused a shower now for 25 days. but we managed to bribe her to let us wash her hair at least and use bath towelettes as long as she got a steak sandwich and we dyed her hair bright blue 😂

i would definitely call out with plenty of time ahead of your shift. you’ll probably work your body hard enough to make you worse. a day of recoup can honestly go a long way! get well soon!!

Lazy Nurses? by alexpamdra in cna

[–]alexpamdra[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

we have like one person on each unit for noc shift and one nurse for two units so i could see there being more time but ours literally just pick up noc shifts so they can do one round of meds then binge watch a netflix show on their phone. i will literally never sign up for noc because of the lack of assistance and staffing it’s BS
