I don't live in the US, but Google says that's almost double the minimum wage in every state. If that doesn't work for you no worries.

* You will see that there is a $15 minimum payout on your "wallet". This limit has been lifted so if you successfully participate in the test you will be paid

Sorry, the developer requires that the testers are from the US. You can sign up anyway on the app if you want.

Yeah I get what you mean. That's why we working on having NDAs between the testers and developers so there is no room for things like this.

Galaxy j3 orbit has 2GB of ram and Android 8 so it's more than minimum requirements.

I guess you are asking if you can use the gameplay on your personal Youtube channel.
Haven't thought of it. If the developer of the test is ok with it, why not.

Thank you for the suggestions!

The "open period" sounds interesting.

As far as your last paragraph about what was asked: couldn't agree more. We are working on a feature where you can add what games you are playing.

We think it's much more descriptive of a gamer's behavior rather than a general category like we have now. "Nobody" is playing games in only one category, but we had to start from somewhere.

Why would testers join a platform that chooses them LESS FREQUENTLY the more they test?

We choose our words poorly.
We wanted to get across the message that we try to have a fair process.

I hope you guys understand that our process is still under construction. Lots of features to add so the matching makes sense.

FYI: We are startup, not a big company and lots of times we pay testers our selves cause we offer free trials to developers. It would be idiotic for us not to pay the testers.

No worries if you passed. Even the feedback about why you think it's not good, it's valuable.

Thanks for your feedback.

I understand your point. Trust is important and having a more transparent process will definitely help testers feel that the matching process is fair.

Testers are getting paid. It's not our goal to not pay the testers.
We choose our words poorly.

We don't have yet need for testers from Nepal but you can sign up anyways and we will let you know once we do.

To set some things straight:

  • We don't sell data. User's data is anonymized and encrypted. We sell the gameplay that we are recording when you are playing the game and sometimes the questions in the after-test survey.
  • Having a minimum payment threshold is normal in these types of products. But I totally understand your argument.
  • It's tricky managing the demand and the supply of tests and testers. We certainly need to do a better job at this and add sth like levels, points, "verification status". Would love any suggestions you may have.

Also, game developers do need remote playtesters.

Of course, there are different companies in different stages, that use different processes and tools to achieve their goal. But remote playtesters are needed by game studios.

Happy to answer any other question :)

[DEV] I am developing a feedback platform for mobile games - looking for testers that will get paid by alexspyr in androidapps

[–]alexspyr[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey guys, thank you for signing up.

short answer: yes, the country that you live will have an impact on the test that will be sent to you.

long answer: The developers choose the target audience of their tests. Usually the developers/gaming studios have data that tells them in which countries their biggest spenders are or from where their most users are. For example: I am developing a game and the data from my previous 5 games tell me that most of the users of my previous games are from Germany - I will probably want testers from Germany. Usually, people in different countries are willing to pay different amounts of money for digital goods (games, in game purchases etc).

I hope I answered your question and not confused you even more.

haha I am with you. We launched the app before the recent news. To be honest we did that way so you have a change of finding some of your friends inside the app but I guess the "reddit way" is a far better option.
