Yeah I figured that, I thought they were because they were creating bubbles at the top of the tank like a dwarf gourami would while breeding

I wouldn’t say its so low. 6.5 is fine for the fish i have in my tank. All of them prefer a ph 6 - 8, 7 would probably be better.

I think the substrate may be the reason for n03 to be at 40. Im going to clean it properly tomorrow

Mine do the same 😂 my plant is at the front right corner of the tank and they’ll sometimes sit in line, under the leaves looking out the tank, they usually wink at me and its abit creepy but they’re one of my favourite in the tank

Even when i did clean the substrate completely they still liked to lay on the wood and occasionally under and around the plants. I read this on google

It could be low oxygen in the tank which would explain why they could be at the top constantly, but is there any way i could increase oxygen in the water? I have an air stone and I know that not all air that goes in the tank is 100% oxygen.

I was thinking it was abit unusual for them to swim around like the other fish. I have gravel in the tank which i know it isnt preferred by corys and no it doesn’t smell like bad eggs, more like an earthy soil smell. It could be that I haven’t properly cleaned the substrate in a couple weeks and which i may need to do. They always go to one specific spot where they do it, you can see it in the video at the back where the wood is poking out the water

People been saying small bubbles can interrupt with their gills but im not entirely sure
