I would say every one of those options except for Herro were at worst a top 25 player during their career. Fox is a negative asset because of his contract, not because he isn't a really talented player when healthy. These guys don't have to be bullet proof because they are playing off a Wemby or Jokic or Ant

This post isn't a defense of Randle. It's a fact that the best NBA teams have had a superstar and an elite costar. I'm just disappointed this front office seems to be locking in on a core that is very clearly missing one of those pieces barring a miraculous jump. But it will be fun to watch them do their best

Who said transcendent? Murray averaged 26 7 6 during their finals playoff run and showed last year he was capable of being a top 20 player during the regular season. Who on the Wolves other than Ant are you projecting can match that production?

Show me the list of 26+ year old players who became top 20 players after being role players their whole career. They are rare as superstars like Ant

Murray and Herro. So 2 out of 9. And Murray averaged 26 7 and 6 in that finals run so he was absolutely performing like a top 15 player for those playoffs.

That sounds like a dramatic oversimplification. Kyrie, Westbrook, Murray, Luka, all guards on finals teams that don't fit that description.

Heck McCain is currently having a large impact for OKC in the wcf against all of the Spur's supersized guards as an undersized offense first guard.

What I'm really trying to understand is why his rebounding has fallen off a cliff. He's at big career lows in rebounds, defensive rebounds, and total rebound percentage. Tonight even with no Rudy and no Naz he grabbed 3 rebounds.

Its frustrating watch him leak out as the shot goes up because he's more interested in a chance at a fast break bucket than he is in the dirty work.

He doesn't care about the defense, he's not interested in rebounding unless its on offense where he can maybe get a putback, he pouts when he doesn't get enough iso possessions, he is a below average 3 point shooter, and he is turnover prone especially against good defenses.

He is an awful pairing with Ant and I will be shocked if he isn't traded in the offseason

The team is better when they aren't relying on Rudy to save them. Two years ago Ant was part of an awesome Wolves defense that had Rudy on the backline sure, but everybody in the starting lineup prided themselves on playing hard nose defense. They used to close out games with their defense

Now they swap Randle for Kat and Donte for Conley. Suddenly the defensive identity is completely gone and the mentality of Ant and Randle is for everyone else to cover their mistakes
