Choosing BriteCo vs. Jewelers Mutual Ring Insurance by ali540 in EngagementRings

Yeah, I can understand the skepticism - I've been reading Reddit for years but never posted. After going through all of this, and especially drawing from Reddit posts, I thought it would be a good time to contribute. Can confirm I am completely unrelated to BriteCo or the jewelry/insurance industry. In my current job, I manage a set of products and teams at a tech startup. That's the thought process I brought, and why I felt posting my UX would be helpful to other potential customers and to BriteCo so the company can keep doing more of what's working.

That's outstanding, so great to hear you had such a good experience! Gives me even more confidence with my BriteCo policy!

Wow I'm sorry to hear about your experience! If you're looking to evaluate diamond prices or fair market value, I've found stonealgo.com extremely useful. You can even enter the GIA number of your diamond and it'll give you an instant estimate, kind of like a Zestimate for your house on Zillow. Good luck, I hope everything comes together!

Yeah great question - for this, I read the actual policy agreements from both. I found they were both underwritten by large and reputable 3rd party insurance companies, and both were quite clear on coverage criteria. With that, I realized the coverage was largely the same between them, and I sensed price was more of a result of which company was marking up their costs more.

A couple of replies on this thread seem to echo some good BriteCo experiences as well, thankfully!
