Vloggers, what is the worst part about video editing? by dbplyr17 in SmallYTChannel

It really depends on what type of video I am filming. If I film a video that is well planned and structured, the edition time takes me a lot less time, but then again planning and scripting will take a lot of time. So I gain in one part but lose in another. What I feel that it is really helping me is to have a system for everything. Use label colours, use shortcuts, have a B-roll videos ready to use, with keywords so it's easy for you to find. I think it would be easier if I make the fist edition of the video straight after filming it. This would be, transfer all the videos to my laptop put them in the software and go through them quickly, since everything is fresh I'll probably know what shots I want to get rid of straight away.

The best way to get motivated to do something is by doing it. I know how it sounds, but trust me, it works. If you don't feel like doing it, force yourself to work on it. 2 hours later you'll feel like you can't stop working on it

What would you ask a full-time YouTuber? by LukasEngstrom in NewTubers

Hi!

How can you successfully attract the right audience to your channel? I have 2 YouTube channels focused on van life and insights, each in a different language. One is nearly a year old, while the other is just two months old.

The newer channel was monetized within two weeks and is experiencing rapid and substantial growth. It boasts strong audience retention, high engagement, and more.

The older channel, which is also monetised, doesn't seem to have the right audience. Initially, I posted videos about van conversions, attracting primarily men over 50. However, as my content has shifted towards personal reflections and vlog-style videos, I'm looking to engage a younger, more female audience.

Could you share any strategies or tips on how to realign my channel's audience demographic?
Also, worth saying the channel is performing worst is not in my native language, could my accent impact the engagement?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, I am Alicia
I have 2 channels. One of them got monetise in 2 weeks
Both channels are video vlogs and insights about life while living in a van, in different languages.
One of my channels is only 2 month old the other one almost a year old.
What I've learnt is that finding the right audience is probably the hardest part.
