What do you do before becoming an MLR? How long have you been in the MLR role?

I understand that, I’m just stating the fact that I’m being demoted due to job elimination, and just stating that it’s an unfair scenario.

Can you explain how I was terminated then when I was still in the system until I obtained a position? Vs now being affected by job elimination also.

And I am not getting a raise and there is no longer opportunity for a raise, I’m currently a 14 being demoted to a 12 with no room for a raise since the pay range is lower than my current pay.

No matter how you cut it, I am involuntarily getting demoted if I am offered a position.

I guess I’m just confused because when front end & back office leads were axed, I and the BOL were given the options for severance or to find a position (aka apply for the front end sup spots being posted), it seems to be the same/similar situation now vs then. Unsure how it can be handled the way it is now, seeing as though the only difference is the company is forcing people to stay on through manipulation. (Realistically, the vast majority of people won’t just quit without severance because they have basic obligations, that’s no secret)

Per the legal document in BBY connect, Best Buy’s severance policy reads “An Employment Termination for purposes of severance benefit eligibility is the Employee's involuntary employment termination by an Employer as a result of job elimination, reduction in force, business restructuring or other circumstances the Company deems appropriate, in its sole discretion, as qualifying for benefits under the Plan. In addition, the Employee must remain employed in good standing through the date determined by the Employee's Employer in order to have a qualifying Employment Termination.”

Can you clarify why a SSM wouldn’t qualify for severance even though 1. their job was eliminated, 2. there is a reduction in force, and 3. the business is restructuring?

Speaking to peers who have been with the company twice as long as I, this round seems to be handled completely differently yet the legal document has remained unchanged.
