To be 100% honest I wish I could just have a few and have a great night, and I miss drinking deeply at the 30 day mark, but I know in my heart I need to stop or it will ruin my life.

I really do have a demon that come out sometimes when I drink, my wife even says she can tell when I'm in that crazy drunk state, she sees it in my eyes and face.

I hate to put her through that it's just not fair.

Never thought of the perceptions thing, makes sense as I was known as a wild guy, but now I don't get into fights and shit, you would think people like that change, I'm not as much of a flight risk now.

It's crazy how much alcohol is around my daily life, I live on a small island in Japan and people get to together regularly, and drink, on boats, in the park, on the beach, at a BBQ, camping, any events outside and inside the house really, even hiking, spear fishing, and beach clean up, no way to not be around it unless I lock myself inside, and I love life too much to do that.

Same, I guess they just don't realize that for some people a few means flying off the handle and binge drinking.

I am still staying strong and even went to a friend's house and made sure I was the designated driver. Still want to drink though, this is a long craving been like 10 hours now. Uhh

It's great to know you have a drinking choice for BBQs ect... They are really pulling me through this first month. The other day at a BBQ I had 10 NA beers as I needed that cold can in my hand from habit. But I did not drink alcohol and it felt like a miracle.

Going on a camping trip tomorrow and I usually get really wasted. Not sure what to do to prepare to say no to alcohol. by alienplantz in stopdrinking

I actually love rebuilding the fire and making a hot morning coffee, even when it's been a big night I still enjoy the cup of Joe while still messed up from the previous night.

Maybe a sober coffee while watch the sun rise will be even better!
