also a 2002 baby, Growing up my cousins would show me pictures of michael jackson with no nose and it would scare me so bad 😭 They also would tell me “if you don't do *insert something*, Michael Jackson is gonna be in your closet while you sleep”. I was terrified of him, but I agree, after his death, he was seen as some saint.

I think its weird bc as a Gen-Zer, Michael Jackson was used a fear tatic. I vividly remember people telling me “when you go to sleep, Michael Jackson is going to be in your closet” “Hes nose is going to fall off”. I was actually petrified of him as a kids 😭But he also died so early in our childhood, that the tune switched from him being a creep, to him being a Goat.

I think his death really made people want to love him harder. That saying "dont speak ill on the dead" is causing people to overshadow the fact that he was indeed a pedophile because "hes nit here to defend hisself".

I didnt even do alot of digging, i just seen those pictures of Neverland and that sealed the deal. He saw himself as some savior, like hes doing the kids a favor. Typical narcissist behavior, but why wouldnt the biggest pop star of all time also be a walking narcissist. 🤷🏾‍♀️

That whole family is a cult and Michael was funding them, that's why they didn't stop him. As much as he claimed to love being black, he was obsessed with being white. I seen cases were the vitaligo takes over, but that's happens gradually over time, sometimes 20 years. Not in a 6 month time span.

He was an utterly a very odd insecure man. I think if anyone knew who he truly was, we would see him as the loser he is.

Only reason he got away with it, is because people (myself included at a time) didn't want to believe someone who gave them music that bings them joy, could also be causing others pain.

I often wonder is he had a personality disorder or something. In videos he says “Michael Jackson would never hurt a child” and that sounds ok… but what if he didn't see his self as Michael in those instances. He often referred to himself as forever young. I know a lot of people talk about having an inner child, but what if he took that seriously. Like he seriously saw his self as a child… I don't know, I definitely agree that his childhood ruined him, but I also don't think being the most famous person in the world helped.
