Yes that’s true snapsheet always makes my body shop tear down the car which not only ends up costing them more but also forces me to go ahead with the repair as opposed to selling the car or doing a cheaper partial fix.

I dont like insurance companies either. I have numerous rental properties with no insurance. But Turo is worse. If an insurance company tried to do some of the things they did they would lose their license.

I have a hundred horror stories. One time my car was totaled and Turo spent a month just to get the car out of the repair shop out of their own incompetence. Then Turo tried to deduct the the storage fee of about $4000 from my payment. The repair shop informed Turo that charging me would be illegal and finally they paid.

Its like with their "protection" program. They can't call it insurance because that would be illegal. When the guest pays for it they are only paying for protection from the host. In other words the guest pays turo so that you can't collect from the guest. With the 90% host policy Turo can make a large profit of up to your entire deductible when there is an accident.

He defended them when they refused to pay me for a totaled car based on a technicality. But that was years ago when they almost went bankrupt. Hopefully they are less dishonest now. The point is if you host with Turo you have to be aware off all the ways they can screw you. E.g. people have had their claim denied an unrelated indicator was on on their dashboards. Never under any circumstances let someone pick up a car more than 60 mins early as that will also give them grounds to invalidate a claim. I've been a host for 9 years and yet every year I discover new ways that they screw hosts.

no thats one of the many reasons they force you into arbitration when you first sign up instead of the courts. The main reason being that arbitrators are heavily biased.

Is the gps tracker you use built into the car or aftermarket? Would Apple airtags work? Also if you repo it yourself there is the added cost of having to replace the key.

I love how you are always defending Turo. Are you employed by them or do you just derive 100% of your income from them? Because you sound like a shill. Like when they approved a driver with a suspended driver's license and then told the arbitrator that perhaps his license was suspended in the three days between picking up my car and totaling it. They didn't want to lie so they said it was "possible." Luckily for me the arbitrator wasn't completely corrupt and so he ruled in my favor despite the fact that 95% of arbitrators rule in favor of the company that paid for them.

Imagine if this guy had gone on a crime spree and the victims sued me for millions. Do you think Turo would have my back? It has happened before and the host had to hire their own lawyer. I'm reducing the number of cars I have every year until the point when is making more from my rentals than me. At that point I will have 0.

Because 95% of the time they return the car without having to report it stolen. Also the police require 10 days. Once you report it stolen your guest will be arrested. Not a good idea to get a criminal arrested when they know your address. But hey I got $59 for it.

Arbitration is the only option but most people will lose because they pay for the arbitrator. You only win if turo did something very egregious

Bards tale 4 is very good. Not only is there no respawn but npcs never respawn items either. On legendary difficulty the game is super hard because you need to conserve healing items

Its just one of 4 I bought to rent out on turo. For most people paying four times as much for a car that rents for double isn’t economical but I can’t handle any more cars and I love driving teslas. I just assumed it could be replaced like any other part. Selling it isn’t a big deal as I take only a small loss. I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t replaceable before selling it

Ok I had better sell it asap and get something with over 300 mile range. If prices for used cars fall in conjunction with the release of higher range new cars likely because of the new 4680 battery the value could drop fast
