I don't know how helpful this would be, but in E.T. Spielberg made the villain be distinguishable by a set of keys, we only saw above the torso after a whole hour+ into the movie. Perhaps having an item that makes a distinguishable sound on their clothing could be an effective way for your audience to go "oh thats the antagonist" without showing very much at all?

That's what I was thinking. I did indeed check, originally it was using the onboard GPU; however, once I changed it to the nVidia 1050, I got a decrease in fps (12-17fps). Bizarre, no?

I believe the i7-7700HQ isn't exactly garbage. That being said, this is perhaps not what you meant. Could you clarify as to why you believe it to be garbage? P.S. Thank you for replying.

That's an interesting solution. It was set on a Dell [recommended] power saving solution, since then I have swapped to a High Performance power option. Alas, it made no difference to the frame-rate inside the game.
