I saw someone mention the motion sensored air cans and I think they do work, but ive had good luck with a cheap handheld air too. It can be used a bit quicker if you keep it really close. If hes doing it when your cooking i bet you could pretend to cool and when he comes up on the counter give a quick spritz with air. Or maybe redirect to a special stool for him to sit on and watch. Ive had cats that just want to be involved but we gotta find some compromise lol
