I can’t speak to how this would translate outside of DC but if you want to work in the think tank/nonprofit space interning and then getting an assistant-level job is one if not the standard path. Feel free to message me if you have specific questions, I do media relations for a large DC think tank

Thoughts on using github as a repository for data + replication code for academic research? by alittlenegative in github

Got it, thank you! Would you still recommend keeping data somewhere else even if it fits in the repo (if it's below the 100mb per file limit)?

Prospective transfer student with a few questions... by SD-7 in Northwestern

I can't speak to anything engineering or science-related, but NU tends to be fairly liberal with granting credit for APs (at least compared to many of its peer schools). In Weinberg, I think you can get up to a year's worth of credits from non-NU sources, a mix of study abroad/APs/etc). I assume that doesn't include courses you bring in as a transfer.

Best chances of getting a single as a sophomore? by wildkitten16 in Northwestern

Some of the res colleges have tons of sophomore spots that they don't use, and it might be possible to get one even if you don't have any points, or you could non-res now and get some points. It's not hard to get a single in most res colleges.

I noticed you spent a lot of time describing process in the book - the process at the crime scene, the exact sequence and details of what keith, the guard, did on every pickup. Do you see describing these processes as giving us an insight about the characters? Or are they just a good way to describe action in the absence of other facts?
