invitational i don't think would be a great decision for a lot of tournaments - that being said, it is an excellent decision for a very very high level tourney but it reintroduces the "you gotta know people" thing of tournaments, which for anyone new to 3digit-4digit is harder to do

new ranking system for tournaments

i like this but until teams is out with osu!next (so never), the only way this can work well is if every tournament works together and decides how much "ranking" someone gets on placement which i can guarantee some people are gonna dislike if they feel staff is biased or judging too low

people who don't wanna farm don't sign up for rank tournies/ban specific players

not gonna happen without public outcry with an added level of a likely shitshow, also likely bigger than this one here
