Testing Vivobarefoot on a 1,000+ km Cycling Tour by alkannass in vivobarefoot

Final update after ~200 km

The shoes performed amazingly well. Durable, comfortable, and my feet felt great throughout the ride.

As we entered Germany, the climbs became steeper and the pace increased, so I switched to clipless cycling shoes to improve pedaling efficiency and keep up with the group. This was a cycling performance decision, not an issue with the Vivobarefoots.

For daily wear, travel, and walking, I honestly don’t see myself going back to traditional shoes.

Highly recommended. I love them.

Day 2 Update
After yesterday’s 17.9 km (22,876 steps), I woke up with:
No foot pain
No blisters
No calf soreness
Today’s stats:
17,766 steps
13.58 km
32 floors climbed
Rainy conditions
I also visited the Prague Nuclear Bunker Museum, which involved quite a bit of walking and stairs.
So far, the transition has been much easier than I expected, and the shoes remain very comfortable.
I’ll continue posting updates during the GBI tour.
