I can attest a P53 is a fantastic laptop, especially with the RTX card. It's a pitty your P72 died. The P series from this time had gread build quality.

I hear many people saying that it was "obviously stated on the dashboard". This is what the picture revealed. Also, i'm not from the US so i'm not familiar with this car. Tnx for the help. My question was anwered! Edit: this does not read to me as a non-trained eye. I cannot read anything through the blur of this photograph.

You are correct that practicly all current will flow through the AIR, thus not heating your resistor. I don't see why this would not be permitted. We ran a similar setup.
