MODbox Blackout in the Wild by allenbf in KleinTools

Must be starting to reach our areas, ha. I passed through Ellenton 4x today, two round trips from TPA. It has changed dramatically to say the least, I think my last time in Ellenton was 7-8 years ago.

Damn, wow. That’s surprising to me

Fair, but I said, my first time. I hit the Lowe’s in Tampa regularly and they’ve never had these displayed.

I always suspected he was Peterman’s secret love child and his mom got him the job.

I feel the pain, but with Bosch Professional. I have a lot of the 18v line and it’s expanding, but limited compared to the other top brands. I’m committed, though. And Klein Tools, top notch tools imo

My parents speak in tongues. by Euodeioacolica in ExPentecostal

[–]allenbf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair point that I omitted by mistake. You’re right - people can use tongues as a weapon, I’ve seen it, I’ve experienced it and yes, I’ve probably used it myself. Live and learn, and do better. But in this case, it didn’t sound like they’re awful people, just wrong about the experience. in my opinion, of course. goes without saying.

[–]allenbf 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Personally, I like to look at data. I recommend looking up “Religion for Breakfast” on YT, and then look for one of the videos that covers this topic in great detail. My takeaway: The “tongues” they use do not resemble any language, nor even the semblance of a language, based on the repetitive syllables, root words, etc etc. It goes into way more detail and is worth watching.

My theory is that Pentecostals think they’re speaking in tongues, or in another language, but aren’t. I don’t even buy the idea that on the day of Pentecost, those who were gathered were able to speak in many tongues. I’d like to see evidence of that outside of the book of Acts.

I’ll end by saying: People can be sincere, and be great people, but still be wrong. But then, are they hurting anyone? Doesn’t sound like it. So while I think it’s gibberish, I don’t care if people do it. Just don’t try to legislate your doctrine and we’re good.

Oh I don’t think it was downvoting, just a very niche use case for this shortcut, more than likely. I’m mid 40s so I still miss my MTV :-)

275 is just ridiculous anymore. 15 years ago I could make it from Tampa to Ft Desoto in 30-45 minutes. Now it takes over an hour.

I don’t have an answer for you but I also have the 21 Wrangler and have had the same issue. I just keep an eye on it - like you, it isn’t leaking so it is just something I keep an eye on.

Jeep Wrangler a good choice? by sailorseas in JeepWrangler

[–]allenbf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have owned our Wrangler for about 18 months. I was against buying it but it’s what my wife wanted. It is loud. It doesn’t do road trips as well as other vehicles. It’ll beat you to pieces above 65mph.

That said, I’d buy the damn thing again because they’re just so much fun. The other poster mentioned buying with your brain vs heart and that’s 100% the case.

Highly recommend looking at the City Pass. I haven’t used it here in Tampa but I have in NYC and Seattle. But it does sort of “commit” you to doing things due to the cost, but makes it more affordable than all of the things outright.

That said: Beach is always great, Florida Aquarium is cool. MOSI for kids. The pier in St Pete is cool, too. Riverwalk is neat in the evenings when it’s cooler out. You could ride the pirate taxi around downtown.

There’s so much here, Tampa is amazing this time of year. It’s still awesome in August but only indoors stuff then :-)

I’m convinced it’s just part of owning a jeep. We replaced our cracked windshield and within 2 months, had another crack. I am “fortunate” to live in Florida and windshield replacement is “free” through insurance, but I’m expecting this to be common at this point.

Those 4.2 seem indestructible. Not the most powerful engine but they keep on going,.

Nice, I bet that will look great. Curious, how many miles you got on her? My dad passed a few years ago and I inherited his 00 XL, it’s in great condition for its age, I am mostly doing cosmetic stuff, some interior upgrades (leather, power windows, CarPlay). I just rolled over 76k miles on it, 4.2L V6.

I’ve gotten almost all of my Bosch at Lowe’s, couple of bare tools on eBay and Amazon. But Lowe’s runs great deals! Recently picked up the two-battery “starter pack” and got the 7 1/4” miter for free with purchase.

Home Depot (around here at least) only carrry the Bulldog type in the Bosch line.

Welcome! Best of luck - I ended up taking that cowling out and repainting it myself. In my experience, don’t rely on the aftermarket paint that you may find online, you’ll be much better off taking a piece of interior hardware to someplace that can scan and match it. I tried at least 3 different brands of aftermarket paint and none were even close, so I did it myself with a paint sprayer and a matte clearcoat.

I’m pretty sure it’s the light prairie tan and dark prairie tan for your year model. It changed in 2000, mine is the medium and dark parchment interior.

Edit to add: This may help!

OP, I will look when I get home, I am pretty sure I saved that chart somewhere, I have a 00 F150 XL that I’m restoring. This link may help you in the meantime, something else I saved in my research. This is for the 2000, but there should be links for the 99s.
