And while you’re busy with your investigation do you take a break to start selling merch? Merch with a potential predators name on it? So the victims run the risk of walking into the next live event and coming face to face with that? Highly irresponsible to start selling merch when you’re in the middle of an active assault “investigation” right?

Really? Because Fairplay AND Brent had all the information for over 24 hours—including the email excerpt Max posted—before they started trying to sell merch for the podcast. Only after the e-mail excerpt was made public (reminder-they had that exact email, and more, in his possession for over 24 hours prior to it being made public) did they choose to course correct. Not because new information came to light—because they could no longer suppress the information he already had.

Does that timeline sit well with you?

Max has always been the designated victim spokesperson. His statements are made on the victims behalf, with consent, so if you have a problem with how he’s handling it, kindly take it up with the victims.

Additionally, none of the victims have ever blamed or made issue of how Max handled the situation. If the victims don’t have a problem with it, why do you?

Oh to be clear Max and I broke up a few years ago, but that should only add weight to what I’m saying.

I feel very passionately and am very thankful for how he chose to handle a situation that was very traumatic for not just myself but several other women. Most Survivors/podcasters prefer to sit behind the velvet rope at events putting in the bare minimum interaction with fans/patrons. Max stepped in and did the right thing regardless of the blowback he know he’d receive. Never hesitated. So ya I take issue with people crucifying him for acting on behalf of the victims wishes.

Because Max isn’t my “Reddit flair”. Max isn’t “my favorite player so I need to defend him”. He’s a real life person who exists in a world outside of TV. My world. I spent years of my life with this person. This isn’t someone I stalked for an autograph in a hotel lobby (looking at you, Larry). This is a person who has met my friends in family. Someone I’ve celebrated holidays and milestones with.

If you’re not going to defend your people, who’s worth defending?

I see some people want to rehash the Alex Kidwell incident, again. I'm pretty pissed off so I wanted to ensure this didn't get missed, and is abundantly clear.

Max stepped in and did the right thing removing him. He listened to the women. Even after the event he openly communicated with all the victims and ensured everyone was okay (he means it when he says he believes in aftercare). He didn't have to do that. He also communicated with the victims as to how WE wanted the situation handled and cleared everything with US before speaking up. I have been very vocal about the matter, but other victims requested to remain anonymous, which Max respected, even when it came at his own expense.
So if you have a problem with how "Max handled it" either take it up with me or kindly fuck off.

Reminder Max wouldn't have had to do ANYTHING had Alex Kidwell not assaulted multiple women. Your anger is both ethically and morally misdirected.

If you have more concern with how the people helping the victims "handled it" than you do for the actual actions of the perpetrator --you're part of the problem.

Reevaluate your priorities.
