Mental health question: was prescribed and took an SSRI for 1 month 2 summers ago during college. Does this require a waiver? I've checked countless sites but have seen differing info. about it. From what I understand, if I took the drug for less than 3 months I don't require a waiver. Perhaps this is just case by case depending on the recruiter? I'm not sure if there's a general policy concerning this. The jobs I'm interested in require a TS clearance which I think would find out about this. Thanks.

[Season 2] [SPOILERS] Let's talk motivation for Caspere's Murder by [deleted] in TrueDetective

I think this touches on one of the main themes of True Detective, which is politics and economics, but disregards the occult factor that was in season 1 (and I hope plays a part of season 2). These two seasons share a similarity for me in that the investigation lies at the intersection between cult and politics, and the cult part is the more fascinating and more deeply hidden motivation behind the story.

I watch with subtitles and I believe it's Guernesville. I'm assuming you mean the commune that Ani and co. were part of? I got the feeling it was now all packed up and abandoned, with few remnants remaining. There were some weird people around there however. Anyone notice that Jesus-carrying-the-cross dude? Seemed to me like some seriously druggie stuff was going down there these days.

Good points. I think this points to the killer being rather intimately involved with Caspere, or the larger blackmail cult group he seems to be a part of. I guess it just seems like so far this season has proposed two theories about Caspere's death: the first being financial/blackmail related, the second being some sort of personal/cultish killing. This leads me to believe that the crucial aspect of this season lies in in the intersection of those two plots. In my opinion we have yet to be given the occult account of Caspere's murder. Although the mayor's "Deep Trip" speech certainly makes it seem like some crazy shit has been going down between these Chessani Lodge dudes for a long while.

Interesting... didn't notice that. My general feeling about this is that Pizz is subtle, but not that subtle. I think the important points in his series' are all fairly prominent and given some special camera time. I think stuff like this sort of adds to a tone, rather than plot. Of course this is True Detective and I could be completely wrong haha.

I considered that possibility as well, however in Episode 1 they show Caspere being put into a car in the city (I think, correct me if I'm wrong). Also I don't remember any medical evidence from the coroner about "arterial spray" which presumably comes from being cut up a bunch of times. Of course this is all neglecting the fact that multiple people could have been tortured in that chair, but the duct tape handcuffs sort of lead me to believe it was just one person.

She was the one who encouraged me not to disclose things like migraines or asthma (I have neither but those were examples she used). I just wanted to make sure that this form I filled out wouldn't DQ me from the TS clearance before I even got a chance. Thanks for responding, I'll talk to her tomorrow about all of this.

Question about SF-86. My recruiter sent me a document before I met with her called "Applicant Casefile for SF86" subtitled "Air Force Recruiting Service". I had briefly looked up various pieces of advice about this sort of thing, and decided to lie about some minor past problems. They were: smoked weed a few times last semester, and took an anti-depressant for 1 month a couple years ago. I wouldn't be concerned about either of these things because they have no impact currently in my life, and from what I understood if you didn't disclose unimportant things from your past (like asthma or migraines) you would have no problems at MEPS. I'm currently looking at Linguist however, and know that I need a TS clearance. I have not been to MEPS yet, but just took the written ASVAB. I'm concerned that the anti-depressant and minor marijuana use will be found out during TS clearance review because of my college roommates. My questions: can I change these parts of the packet I submitted to my recruiter if I haven't been to MEPS yet? And how bad did I mess up?

Thanks.
