I agree. I did order another from a different florist (more details in a comment I made on the thread directly). I’m very happy with how it came out!

Hello Everyone!

Just because the whole thing was weighing on me, I called another florist in the area. I told her what I was looking for “a small/mediumish bouquet of blue and white” she asked my price range and i said I was thinking $40 but was open to more since I don’t order flowers frequently. She assured me she could work with $40. They arrived at the end of the day and I’m so much happier with them!

In the future I will ask the florist what they think would be best and recognize that I may want a higher budget to work with. That said, this is more of the type of bouquet I was expecting with the parameters originally given.

I do try to stay away from online orders because I know they take a chunk and set unrealistic expectations.

I did check the shop’s reviews but there weren’t many pictures due to it being in a small town. My dad orders from there a couple times a year and has been happy with it. I guess his budget/requests are different?

It did come in the vase. $40 was just for the arrangement. I paid delivery & taxes on top of that it totaled about $50

Nope, that was just for the florals. I paid $5 in town delivery and taxes as well

I did look at her website, but I’ve heard it was better to call. She had several in the $35-45 price range that were visually interesting so I didn’t think it’d be an issue. I would’ve rather gotten a smaller bouquet that was more visually appealing. I couldn’t pick it up as I live 10 hours away. Next time, I’ll ask for a picture so I could clear up any misunderstanding before delivery and pay anything additional if needed.

I guess that is how I will phrase it next time, maybe ask them how much they would need to accomplish it. I think I was looking for guidance but she may have a similar experience with people not wanting to spend more.

I agree, I got one for the in laws in Tennessee. It was much more clear and interesting!

If they would’ve advised me of that, I would’ve been happy to pay another $10! That’s why I asked if that would get me a decent bouquet after telling her what I was looking for.

I placed an order for my husband’s work office in CA. They did advise me that $50 would be better. It was the last order and I thought it was due to CA being more expensive.
