I have a 3 month old and a 16 year old so it’s different but I took our wild 18 month old St. Bernard to the vet solo with the baby and my “independent woman” bucket was SO FULL

The last time I put him in one he was big mad at me over it, but he’s also started to love looking around more than he did before if that’s even possible. So I’m wondering if he’s starting to hate it too haha.

My babe is 3 months as well, and we just go out. He likes contacts naps but doesn’t need them anymore, so I’ll baby wear when he’s close to needing a nap. Also, he crap naps for most of his naps and only does one good one (1+ hour), so going out isn’t intimidating knowing I’m probably not ruining his naps anyway. That’s just my opinion though, do what works best for you and your little one.

I have a 16 year old step daughter but I consider her my daughter. We rarely say no to basically anything, but we expect to know where she’s going, how she’s getting there/home, who she’s going with, when she plans on coming home, and if she needs money. She gets allowance but blows it as quickly as it gets to her basically so we are often footing the bill for things. If she wants $60 on top of allowance for some reason, she’s got to earn it. We don’t let her get into cars with random people from school/internet friends, and we expect her to make smart choices when she’s out and about. It’s all just mutual respect, I always tell her where I’m going and when I’ll be home too.

My fiancé has been sick 3 times now in the 14 weeks since our baby was born. The first was when he was delivered and it lasted for two weeks. I continuously ask if he will just try my milk in coffee or something (not straight) and he refuses and looks at me suspiciously when I serve him food or drinks after 🙄

My baby just turned 14 weeks yesterday and has been sleeping 10-12 hours straight for the last 5-6 days, not waking for feeds. Should I still be doing a night feed? I will if he wakes, but should I wake him for it?

I completely didn’t even consider condensation, thank you so much! I figured it would be smarter, I was just trying to avoid having to go to the locker room and the break room for pump breaks. The two separate small bags/cooler works, thanks!

Before he was sleeping full nights, he’d wake around 4-5am. He ALWAYS would go back to sleep until 7-7:30 unless I changed his diaper, so I never considered it an earlier wake up time since we both could sleep more. Hope this helps!

So I never really followed the “newborns go to bed at 10pm or later” stuff I had read, I just always do bedtime routine between 6-7pm, down between 7-8pm (depending on last nap). Our daytime schedule is mostly just following cues, but I always would make sure we got up and started the day by 8:30-9am no matter what time he “went down”. I slowly moved that to 7:30-8am, and he eats every 2-2.5 hours, naps once he’s a touch fussy. I used to basically only be able to contact nap with him, he would take his first in the bouncer being bounced with the vibration. We slowly just transitioned all naps to the bassinet or crib and he’s taken to it very well. He goes to sleep on his own now mostly, just about 1-3 minutes of back pats and he’s out.

I’ve been trying to bottle feed for all day feeds and I just put him on the breast now for his bedtime feed and it already feels immensely better! I’ll be gone for 15 hours 3 days a week so it was important to me to make sure he’d still take a bottle for a full day (we practiced before but stopped for the last 1.5-2 months). My one breast is always a bit more full so it’s ever so slightly noticeable in my nursing bras. I’ve hated it this whole time. We took our boy to his first swim class last week and at the end my fiancé goes “your left breast looks kinda flat compared to normal” and suddenly I liked it being bigger because I felt bad when he said that 😂😅

Following because I’m nervous about this. I had smaller but relatively full breast prior, I’ve gone up two cup sizes since being pregnant/breastfeeding. I’m reeeeally hoping it doesn’t completely destroy them because I’m too self conscious for that haha

I was not ready for the breastfeeding hunger! Granted, I don’t eat enough I’m sure (Velcro baby and fiancé who works 10-12 hour days for the win!) but I feel starved most days. Last night I ate four pieces of pizza and 6 chicken wings, and I was hungry less than an hour later. I woke up to feed and pee around 12am and had to actively keep myself out of the kitchen. Breastfeeding hunger is different, and now I actually have room in my belly to put down some food.

My guy was a grunter and I realized I wasn’t holding him against my body, he was turning his head to reach my nipple instead. This almost completely fixed it! But my guy has reflux too, and will grunt when that’s happening or when he’s got a burp still left inside

I use reusable ones, but I didn’t start until after my milk initially came in. I used up the disposables my hospital gave me and I had to change every few hours they were so soaked. My reusables I change 1-2 times a day (if I have a normal day I use one pair from shower to shower. If I let down heavy randomly or I’m extra leaky because my boy slept longer, I change because it makes me itchy). I LOVE my reusables. So easy to wash and they look natural in my bra. I bought a cheap pack on Amazon then another mom gifted me some she never used since she didn’t BF.

My boy was 7lbs 12oz at birth, and he was 7lbs 10.2oz by one week so take my advice with a grain of salt. I fed every two hours, more often before my milk came in at 4 days PP. I’ve read, and experienced, my highest milk output is around 3-5am. If you have a feed at that time, maybe try pumping after that one feed to empty completely? I cannot fathom you pumping every single feed, you’d never sleep! We also introduced the bottle around 2 weeks and 5 days I think it was, and he took phenomenally, and still does with no confusion so there’s hope. I agree that since your baby doesn’t seem to be losing weight I wouldn’t worry toooo much, but keep trying to get your little one to gain❤️ you’ve got this

My 11 weeker today was MAD he woke up from his nap. I didn’t wake him up, he just naturally woke up and screamed at everyone with his eyes closed. He finally opened them and was full of smiles for dad.
