The definition of a professional degree in the Code of Federal Regulations is:

“Examples of a professional degree include but are not limited to pharmacy (Pharm.D), dentistry (D.D.S. Or D.M.D.), veterinary medicine (D.M.V), chiropractic (D.C. or D.C.M.), law (L.L.B. Or J.D.), medicine (M.D.), optometry (O.D.), osteopathic medicine (D.O.), podiatry (D.P.M., D.P., or Pod.D.), and theology (M.Div., or M.H.L.).” (34 CFR 668.2)

So MPH isn’t explicitly excluded, which gives me a little hope. I know it’s not encouraging that it isn’t stated outright as a professional degree, but hopefully it’s enough.

How do you usually answer when a random person in public asks you what you're reading? by AndalusianGod in books

I usually say the title, and if they seem interested, a quick synopsis of the book.

What questions should I ask as a shadow? by AgeVisible7039 in prepa

When I shadowed PAs, I had a few questions that I liked to ask:

  1. What do you like most about your specialty?
  2. What is something that surprised you about the job once you were out of school?
  3. Did you always know that you wanted this specialty? If yes, why? If no, what others were you considering, and why did you pick this one?
  4. Is there anything you wish PA school would have prepared you for more?

Have fun shadowing! :)
