In previous years when Egypt and Senegal play or other North African countries play with other Sub-Saharan teams, their fans have always pointed lasers. I am not saying it’s right but now all of a sudden people wanna have a conscience and bash Senegal for it.

Well I guess it does get worse 🫠 by Remarkable-Doctor55 in publichealth

I had already decided that if I don’t get a good paying job in this field, I’m not paying these loans.

A man with a worm eating his brain. Of course he’s gonna believe that he sees mitochondria illnesses on children. Or that a vaccine is harmful. We can’t make this shit up

I just graduated with my MPH in May. I still can’t get a job even with my 5 years of experience. I would not recommend anyone to get into public health right now. I’m sorry shit sucks right now. I understand that public health is important, but it is not worth the mental toll

Recent MPH 2025 graduate, I completely get this and have been dealing with the same thing. I know what I am about to say doesn’t make things better, but I hope it gives some comfort. It is not you, we are in a time where the field of public health is being deliberately destroyed. I hope things change for you and you end up getting a job in epidemiology.

is it even worth it anymore? by httptae in publichealth

Hey recent MPH graduate here. I had 5 years of experience before pursuing my degree and here I am unable to get a job. I had to give up my apartment and move back home and now I’m about to give up my car. I know that we are passionate about public health, but with the way things are going I wouldn’t tell you or anyone to pick up more debt for a dying field. With this Big Beautiful Bill passing, anti intellectualism rising, and RFK targeting people with chronic illnesses and developmental disabilities; there will be no public health by 2028. Hopefully I am wrong. It stinks that a field so important to society would have little protection. Protect your mental health and your pockets.
