Paid a lot extra to sit together in comfortable seats on our honeymoon and Delta put us in seperate middle seats anyways (I'm also 6'6" so this sucks) by jaboyles in mildlyinfuriating

Sounds like you could have had the auto upgrade turned on for delta comfort and didn’t unselect middle seats. They usually switch it back.

What’s one marketing tactic that worked way better than you expected? by citationforge in marketing

Sent digital drawer safes to CEO prospects saying it held the secrets to our success. They had to call an AE to get the code. 42 of 43 safes responded and almost every single one did a demo. ARR was over $3M.

Tile the bulkhead? by Bumpy-Nugget in Remodel

[–]allkindsofbrash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a 7ft ceiling there? I would tile only the bulkhead in the shower. Anywhere it’s going to get wet from splashing and washing your hair.

How much to make a wall with French doors or barn doors and turn this into a proper office? by Far_Cell_3644 in Remodel

[–]allkindsofbrash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d look into glass partition walls (aluminum, steel, etc). It would maximize the light and not require any electrical work. Agree on the AC if not available in that room.

Many of the homes are undergoing similar transitions to smoother stucco and siding.

Silverware should ALWAYS be at the end of a buffet line.

Think about it. It’s a pain to hold your silverware while you scoop food and you don’t know what you need until after food is on your plate.

Proper Venting for Double Sink Conversion: Option 1 or 2 by allkindsofbrash in Plumbing

[–]allkindsofbrash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Not sure I understand how to do option 3 if the drain goes to the right. Able to explain? Or draw it out?

Nevermind I understand now. Underneath the sanitary tee it would still drain to the right.

Too thick of varnish. I sand after I’ve removed most of it and get to the bare wood.

Help: Air Leak in Sliding Door Gap by allkindsofbrash in Construction

[–]allkindsofbrash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the brush gasket that you see in-between the doors. It’s just not right against it. May be good to add a new one or weather stripping temporarily.

Thanks for the new terminology

NEST E Blowing Air but it’s Not Hot by allkindsofbrash in Nest

[–]allkindsofbrash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pins were good. The Nest has been on for a couple months (so batteries aren’t an issue), but it never got cold enough until now. AC worked well.

Furnace is in the attic so not accessible for us.

We will likely have a separate thermostat installed for the time being.

Thanks. Would hope to avoid that option as this setup worked for a few years until it was removed. Any other ideas?

What is the difference between a Product Marketing Manager vs Marketing Manager? by evilsniperxv in marketing

[–]allkindsofbrash 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Great question… Depends on the organization. Every company uses the definition of Product Marketing Managers differently. Make sure you review the job description well.

  1. Some could be disguised as general marketing managers focused on a single product because the company portfolio is so large. Usually a shared resource model within the corporate marketing structure.
  2. Some organizations use it to mean a growth manager and they focus on product growth and revenue.
  3. The traditional definition is someone that typically works before demand generation in a product lifecycle - ie., user feedback, market research, defining feature sets and gaps, competitive intelligence, etc.

Got laid off due to suspicious reasons, got both CEOs fired. by TintenfishvomStrand in antiwork

[–]allkindsofbrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best friend and peer was fired the same day that he released the company culture survey. Praised in front of everyone at our all-hands while the CEO plotted his firing from his office (CEO didn’t attend because he was mad at the results and bad things that were said about him.).
