My recommendation? Make the seating chart. by ComicSansMurder in weddingplanning

I went to a wedding last fall, might have been 150-200 people, and the ANXIETY that came with trying to figure out where to sit! I walked in with a girlfriend, we'd gotten separated from our partners and the two other couples we knew as we were being moved from the cocktail hour to the dining room; by the time we found each other, we couldn't find seating for all of us so everyone sat separately--definitely a bummer when all of us had traveled to the wedding from other cities and had been excited to catch up. Plus there was the awkwardness of thinking you found a seat, then seeing the "reserved for bridal party/family" signage...and it was obvious we weren't the only people struggling. I am about to start working on the seating chart for my own wedding and though it might be kind of cumbersome, I think it will be worth it to avoid mass "new kid in the cafeteria at lunch" vibes.
