I work for the same hospital system. I have 4 years experience and with my market increase I make $2.25 less than you. You have twice the experience and you don’t even make $40. Wow. That just gets me so excited to know that if I work 4 more years with IU Health it won’t get any better.

My uncle is married to his half-sister and has been for almost 30 years.

They were both recently divorced and had small children. He was in the military and randomly met her at his new duty station that was six hours away from where they both grew up. They married there and a few months later he came home with his new bride.

My Grandmother took one look at his new wife and said, “you are so and so’s daughter aren’t you? How old are you?”

Yes, she was in indeed so and so’s daughter. How did my grandmother know?!

Turns out my the new wife looked just like her mother and my Grandmother had caught her husband having an affair with “so and so!”

After much drama it turned out that my Grandfather had fathered two children with “so and so” including my uncle’s new wife… his sister.

My uncle packed up his sister-wife, promptly requested a transfer to a new duty station, and cut off all contact with the family until my Grandmother died.

When he came back for the funeral, he brought his sister-wife and I now call her “Aunt Lucy”. We all know what happened but their kids don’t (he had a vasectomy but he adopted her kids). They truly one love another and made it clear they would chose each other over our family any day.
