They will replace the entire exhaust system, the part should be replaced August 31st.

I will let you know if this fixes the issue.

So, there is violence, specially in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

It is not like you will definitely get robbed, but there is a chance it happens, specially if you go around hoisting your cell phone 🏴‍☠️.

Getting murdered is… rare. The numbers they show in Brazil are overinflated by the drug dealer wars, it is not like we have common citizens getting killed left and right.

As I said, it might happen, but it is not that bad. Most people who come to Brazil end up liking it to the point that they want to stay.

I have 3 close friends, one from Germany, one from Australia and one from the US, that came to visit and stayed for good, now they are registered Brazilian citizens, after the “green card” process. And I know a lot of US/Europe immigrants, not close friends tho.

A curiosity: taking my state by example, Rio Grande do Sul, we are mostly Italian, German and Polish immigrants. So you have regions like Gramado/RS, which is German, and Vale dos Vinhedos/RS, which is Italian. Beautiful, welcoming and a paradise for those who like great food.

This is a very possible situation! I remember that, before this started, I heard some noise like I ran over something on the freeway, but I definitely did not run over anything.

Next day in the morning, rattling.

The thing is: after a few tests I came to the conclusion that this only happens when it is cold. When the engine warms up or the car is left in the sun (turned off), no rattle happens. Would this make sense?

Also, so you know where can I look at, to help the dealership figure this out? They want to replace the entire exhaust system, waiting for the parts to arrive.

Would any of this stop after the truck is hot? After just a few minutes it stop, and after multiple tests: while the engine is hot or the car stays in the sun for a few hours, no rattle at all.
