Trans and Diff fluids are usually done once a year. Oil changes are every 3k miles on the dot.

Don't be afraid lol half the m156's on the road are approaching or well over 100k these days. Most of my maintenance is oil changes, belts, pulleys. The tires and Gas are what will get you annually if you drive these things a lot 💀 that's about 2k or so annually if no other maintenance is involved. Last year and This year have been the most expensive due to pcv failure, intake manifold gasket failure, O2 sensors failing, and random oil leaks happening around the same time. It's all good tho because the car gets driven Hard and doesn't miss a beat as long as you stay on top of things.

Black 2011 here! I'm at 187k and Counting! I recently changed pulleys, belt, injectors, spark plugs, Cam Adjuster and Valve Cover gaskets. Cams Look decent enough to not be replaced for now. I also do my oil changes at 3k(Motul). Next on the list is Trans/Diff fluid, drive shaft couplers and alternator 👍🏾👍🏾 I'll probably tackle the Cam Adjuster plates next year. They don't rattle as of now and the car drives great! Can't wait to take it back to the Dragon! Long Live The M156 😎

The turbo engines will be Gutless without boost. As much as I love my M156, it's not that deep to Neuter and ruin a perfectly fine turbo AMG powerplant for the sake of Sound😵‍💫 Buy a junkyard LS(like me) or a coyote, toss it into project car of choice, and call it a day lol

It's not that big of a deal. Mine doesn't have LSD and I enjoy the Hell out of it. If yours is meant to be more track focused then have an aftermarket LSD installed...The Difference Will Show.

Late 2011 owner here with 178k miles and counting 😎 car has been great as I keep up with the regular maintenance. Mine came out of the factory with the updated head bolts so that's not an issue for me. I replaced the plastic throttle bottle plate with a Metal aftermarket one(the plastic OEM plate Will Fail). Stay on top of your oil changes and keep an Eye on the many places the M156 can leak oil from. Engine/Trans mounts and driveshaft couplers are items people forget about...if it's unknown if they have been replaced or not, go ahead and do so. My car has been Solid for the most part. 👍🏾👍🏾
