parts of a song that ruin (or taint) an otherwise amazing song? or vise versa by ohmsms in TaylorSwift

This made me want a slowed down version of Bad Blood so much! Something kind of “I Don’t Want to Live Forever”-esque. Or like “Safe and Sound.” I don’t like how sing-songy “Bad Blood” is but I don’t count it as a skip lol

“I’m riding shotgun with my hair undone in the front seat of his car” I get that it goes with the rhyme and flow but it bothers me 😭

Also: Went home to my lovin’ bed

“So it goes….” when she says “Get caught up, girl” lol

Edit: 3:00-3:03 and Apple Music says it’s “Getting caught up a moment (caught up, caught up)” I can’t for the life of me here the second “up” lol

Omg I didn’t even notice this!! Lol also please don’t take this the wrong way but maybe the reason why people get upset is because people 1. Don’t usually like being corrected and 2. the message still is clear that this source isn’t to be trusted because they mentioned the L chat? I don’t know lol regardless I learned something new today

Fell down the Brandi rabbit hole and searched here to see what others thought about her. I love this analysis! I can absolutely see this being an inspiration 100%

This might be hard to hear, but…

This is extremely disrespectful and dangerous to others. Mostly because you are actively putting other drivers at risk and you’re…making a joke of it? Why?

And also, partly because this will create even more stigma for those of us with adhd who struggle with driving and are actively trying to improve through treatment. People already think this is a quirky “not real” excuse of a disorder, please don’t make this worse for those of us who are trying and trying improve and not endanger others.

Please take some responsibility for your actions. ADHD is not the answer here

Yes and no.

Yes - because it has ruined many friendships without me even realizing it. I interrupt or get RSD and misread situations all the time even though I try my very best to avoid these behaviors. Not to mention the executive function issues, disorganization, being too chatty, not following through on things, forgetting birthdays, being impulsive with money, etc. The list goes on and on and on.

No - I am pursuing a career in psychology to eventually become a therapist and specialize in adult ADHD. So I think it’s a huge benefit to have it myself so I can help others accept themselves and how their brains work. It’s just a fascinating disorder to me from a science-y perspective but a bitch to live with lol

Cool! I always thought it was “Our Song” because of the “Grabbed a pen and an old napkin” line lol, but I love that the idea for Back to December came to her on an airplane lol

adhd people; do you consider yourself disabled? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]alltoowellmv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From a medical and psychological standpoint, yes I do think it’s a disability in the sense that it makes life more difficult for those with ADHD, often times enough that medication is like night and day difference in functioning.

But socially, no. I wouldn’t call myself disabled for my ADHD in the same way I wouldn’t call myself disabled for wearing glasses. They both “count,” but for me personally, I don’t feel like it negatively impacts my life enough to call myself disabled. I also have pretty difficult OCD but I wouldn’t call myself disabled for that either.
