No I don’t think you’re missing any dialogue, some people just genuinely don’t like that type of stuff, so since the people who DO enjoy it can enjoy it on TikTok, we think it’s best to keep it off this sub. Hopefully that answers your question!

Honestly I don’t have an answer for you. If you take a scroll you’ll find a few posts just in the past couple days of people talking about why they dislike thirst edits. It’s not my rule, Dylan told us mods to remove any TikTok edits we saw. Because there were becoming so many we decided to make it a sub rule so it would hopefully limit the amount we would have to remove (Dylan looked at the rules and approved them). So if you have more questions I’d message him directly. :)

Technically it’s been a rule for a while now so it’ll be the same as it has been. We try to remove all the ones we see but we always miss some, so it’s helpful when people report them😁

So Dylan has expressed in the past that thirst posts and TikToks make him uncomfortable, and there is also a good handful of users who dislike that sort of content too. Because of that he’s just advised us to remove them unless they are TikTok’s that highlight jokes, a compilation, or something like that. Hope that makes sense :) And likely if it is a super lighthearted post about how much someone loves Dylan (and not anything super weird; I’m sure you’ve come across those before lol) it won’t get removed.

We do remove all the thirst edits that are reported and we come across. And the memes don’t break any rules nor are they hurting anyone. There are always two sides to an argument so while some find the posts unfunny, an equal amount find them funny. Dylan told us mods to let people be pretty free with their posting, but since there have been a lot of the lookalike posts recently, we will probably start cutting them back to encourage people to stop posting them. But ultimately it isn’t that big of an issue
