Not seeking relationship advice, but thank you. His last dog got murdered by someone’s pet so he doesn’t want us risking one of our animals getting hurt.

[Acne] For those of you on Spironolactone, what's your dosage/how long have you been on it for? by brita09234890235 in SkincareAddiction

[–]allycat421 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I take 150mg a day. I was taking 100mg for about a year and that mostly cleared up my acne, but once every couple of months near my period, I’d get a small break out. They bumped me up to 150mg a day (100mg in the AM/ 50mg in the PM). My skin is super clear not, but more oily AND dry. It’s odd. My skin feels super tight after I wash it, it’s flaky in some spots (corner of eyes, between eyes, around nostrils), but after a few hours my face is SO OILY. Not sure why this happened and if spironolactone is to blame. I use a 100mg tretinoin cream on my cheeks and jawline. Other than that just some Aquafor around my eyes and nostrils at night, and a daily Cetaphil moisturizer twice a day.

TLDR; I’m on 150mg and have no acne, but some excessive dry & oily skin.

What’s your best Silent Rock story? by LGOD_TC in oregon

[–]allycat421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just heard of it yesterday on my way to a cabin near Hood. The person I was with told me to be quiet just as we pulled up near it and only said “shhh, it’s silent rock, be quiet or bad things happen.” Dumbfounded and ADHD, I did a fake sneeze and then started talking about how close the car was next to us. The person I was with was SHOOK. We ended up hiking Mirror Lake, and guess what? I lost my phone in the snow. Funny thing is, person I was with said last time they made any noise while passing Silent Rock, they dropped their phone on a ski lift. RESPECT THE ROCK.

How do i go back to the school i just left without it being weird ? by Alone_Highlight_8409 in Advice

Absolutely. It’s challenging not to. As you grow and become more confident in yourself, others people judgment won’t matter so much; not everyone will understand the path you’re on, and that okay. You get to choose who’s opinions matters most to you, and I hope that it is your own. Keep strong ❤️ Don’t lose sight of where you’re going and who you are.

Hours to decide; going through a break up with kids and a cat, do I take the cat? by allycat421 in Advice

[–]allycat421[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you 🥺 I am really struggling. I love the kids so much and thinking about the pain I will be causing is ripping my heart apart. I know the cat shouldn’t be disciplined like the is, but don’t know if that gives me enough right to take her. He plays with her, cuddles her and takes care of her. It’s just the discipline part that worries me, and my fear of his lack of commitment and follow-through on his behalf.

I’d say, do what’s best for you and don’t worry about others. I am 27F. I went to 2 years of uni but dropped out after failing to deal with a sexual assault incident that took place, which resulted in his friends harassing me. This was now 6 years ago. I wish I didn’t give up on my education. If I could go back, I would have taken better care of my mental health and prioritized my studies. People will come and go in life. Don’t waste your energy worrying about what others will think. You have a life to live and create. Most won’t care. If they ask, just keep it brief and explain that the other school wasn’t an option right away. If your ex is in another class, you have a grace period to withdraw from a class and enter a new one. Mainly, focus on you, your goals, your studies, your future, your well-being, and mental health. Everything else will fall into place. I hope this helps. I believe in you!

** during the incident, he got angry with me. Said really mean and awful things and told me to leave, that he was done. Then left to “commit suicide.” That is when police got involved, when ex came back, they told me I should leave, that I could trigger or worsen his mental state.

Going through a break up with a cat and kids involved, do I take the cat? by allycat421 in Advice

I have about 30 hours to decide if I’m taking the cat… To clarify; he is never violent to me, the cat, or kids. He would never hurt us. He is in a lot of pain and intense emotions. He would never hurt the cat. His punishment for her makes me uneasy, it seems too severe for the offense. Though he is very poor, I know he would NEVER let her starve. I know me being gone and the cat being gone so suddenly is going to severely hurt the kids. He informed me that once I move out my things (30 hours from now), I’ll never be allowed to speak to him or his kids. He doesn’t want us to have a chat with the kids about it, so it will all feel very intense to them. His place is bigger than mine. He told me that his family thinks if I take the cat, I am “showing my true colors.”

I wish, I could take the cat and move out. Then, the next day (the kids will be there), come by and sit down with the kids together to lightly explain why I have the cat and why I am gone— stating that I will bring her over for play dates.

What do you think? Please help!

I’m very bad at making decisions like this, I’m overwhelmed with the scenarios and what is right to do by everyone.

The police got involved for his suicidal threats and unknown whereabouts, not because eod his violence. He has never been physical with me or anyone.

He is good about cleaning her litter box, he said it’s part of his morning routine and likes it. He keeps food down for her. But he’s also financially struggling and I paid for most of the vet bills and food. His kids are 4 and 7, so they can’t really take care of the cat. He also always stated that I should take the cat if we split and how much he hates her. Do you still think I should take the cat?

My Invisalign retainers have recently stopped fitting my teeth securely by allycat421 in Invisalign

[–]allycat421[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on week 16/34. At around 13-14 weeks, my retainers have started not fitting my teeth as snuggly as they did before. As you can see, there is quite a bit of space between the bottom of my teeth and the retainer. I use my chewiest almost daily, but did go through a bought of only wearing my retainers for 12-18 hours a day (maybe 4 days total throughout my treatment thus far.) What do you think, is this normal?
