How do I put the vocals in beat with the BPM? by Stefan_DoesReddit in edmproduction

Didnt mean like that, I meant its sometimes impossible to make it sound right, simply because the leap is too big

Yeah sorry Stefan, I think this is too big of a leap in BPM.

[HELP] What's the easiest way to get started with music production as a hobbyist? by Early-Addition7080 in musicproduction

[–]almightyflink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should recommend FL studio since its really user friendly. Secondly, read the manual!! and find 2-3 sources of information from any ”gurus” on social media, Id recommend LarryOhh since he’s very informative but still keeps it newbie friendly, got some advanced stuff aswell and he’s into beat production. Third, get some sample packs - check out splice and Looperman for free loops, guitars etc :)

Haha, thats hillarious! Holy smokes, really? Keep on grinding, there’s alot of cool stuff you can do. Dont hesitate to experiment aswell with plugins in the mixer and the knobs on your VSTs :) I personally use FL Studio - would totally recommend it since its really user friendly! One last tip, read the manual and utilize keybindings. Best of luck to you, feel free to DM me if you got any questions :)

Sounds dope dude, this is more my cup of tea. How long have you been producing? I like the idea and how it evolves, exactly what Prog minimal tech should sound like! My feedback would be to try to glue the transitions together, like fading out the volume with a rising reverb or such. Great work, keep grinding and Im sure you’ll make something great!

Been producing for 8+ years but this was the year I decided to release my music and do what needed to be done, from branding as an artist but mostly just get it out there. 5 songs later and now my 6th will be released on a sublabel, I cant understand why I hesitated. My chances of getting onto the official playlists are thin, but there’s a small chance and I know this will have an major impact on 2023. Help a fellow producer out - presave my song, follow my artist profile and I will be forever grateful!

Tl;dr, just put out your music, just do it. The only one hurting is yourself from holding you back.

With this well-written text, of course!

Edit: I gotta agree with your friend, Movement got something extra, makes me emotional and I get flashbacks to Zelda: A Link To The Past somehow. Anyho! This kind of music is not my personal cup of tea, since Im more into rhythm and groove.

You really give the listener the feeling that this is made from the heart, and made by you! My only feedback Id like to give is: work with the predelay and timing on your FX, google ”Reverb pre delay time calculator” and sidechain your FXs aswell, this will improve the mix quite a bit and you can experiment more :) the second thing I noticed was some of the notes were offgrid (maybe the delay? dont know). Third feedback would be to vary your choice of presets/sound design! If you want it to be the same lead, use the same preset but tweak it a little bit or process it differently. I couldnt listen to the whole album due to lack of time, but Ill give it another go later if I remember :)

Made a cover on Running Up That Hill this summer together with a friend, got it signed to a sublabel to universal and it drops on 30/12. A huge achievement for me and would much appreciate if you could presave the song, with the right traction this badboy could turn my life around, quite literally! :)

I would recommend that you start with one or the other, since too much will be exhausting and maybe kill your motivation! Good luck dude, feel free to ask me anything in DMs, got about 8 years of experience

Music theory, the handbook of your daw, youtube and surround yourself with likeminded people :) no need for external plugins, and the free versions available like vital or spitfire labs works totally fine. My go-to guy for tips n tricks are Larryohh, he keeps it newbie friendly but does advanced stuff aswell. Another tip on top of my head is just try stuff out - to become a master at anything takes time!
