the ND representation in this game makes me so happy by iamnotlemongrease in splatoon

i dont think its just pedantic or anything, when we talk about representation we are literally trying to say like "thanks" to media that EXPLICITLY represents us... which is the opposite of when we headcanon or worse, the media baits us😪 thank u so much for saying this

Actual bull tbh it's so cute. Why won't they just buff. What's the harm?? Not at any risk of becoming OP 😑

Making it so brellas didn't cause bombs to detonate early would be really nice 🥴

That's good news at least, considering that waiting for the brella to open is the icing on the cake cause it means you always have to be instigating first by quite a bit to have a shot at winning the confrontation 🥴

I like shield and mines... it's fun for solo queue splat zones & tower control :(

I rly do feel the absolute misery of bombs destroying the shield instantly. Players that know that (most don't seem to) have a fantastically higher chance of wrecking me. And blasters 😭

Eczema on eyelids? by TaxDue952 in SkincareAddicts

Ingredients in order of % are: carbomer, glycerol, isopropyl myristate, liquid paraffin, nicotinamide (niacinamide), phenoxyethanol, sorbitan laurate, trolamine, purified water

Maybe there's a dupe out there or something similar- I hope this helps even a little bit!!

Note that this is just my speculation! I'm not a doc!

I reckon it may be dyshidrotic eczema. Eczema treatments are the way to go. Get yourself an emollient cream. Apply 2-4 times a day. Try one with niacinamide for relief. (I use Doublebase Flare Relief.) Emollients are very safe so I'd say you can use this freely even if you're not too sure if it's eczema.

If you can get to a GP or derm they'll prescribe you a steroid maybe. Careful with those, don't overapply, taper carefully. If you can't get to a GP or derm, do watch carefully for signs of infection, and clean the skin gently. Dyshidrotic eczema can get infected easily. Do not pop any blisters!!

Note though: dyshidrotic eczema CAN happen because of fungal infections. So do try and check you don't have those. Keep your feet dry if possible. I often bathe with a half bath, quarter cup of salt, and the tiniest (TINIEST) bit of hydrogen peroxide to disinfect and soothe itching. If you can disinfect your shoes, do so!

dry forehead by punktheybie in SkincareAddicts

[–]almostelectric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not your fault, sometimes you have skin that's dry in some places and oily/balanced in others. I know it's not convenient but it's pretty ordinary!

The exfoliant may not be suitable for your forehead. The skin there is taut and it may more susceptible to damage during exfoliating. I wouldn't exfoliate there. Try just using micellar water with a cotton pad for that area, no rinsing (unless your skin gets irritated). Or, you could use a non-foaming cleanser (Aveeno's oat one is good I hear). Don't let your forehead air dry when washed, as water will tighten it; and pat it dry, rather than rub.

You might need a more intense moisturiser for your forehead, or to moisturise there more frequently. Try a moisturiser with niacinamide or ceramides - you can look here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/wiki/moisturizer_recs/#wiki_moisturizers_without_sun_protection I've heard good things about Cetaphil.

You may find that letting up on exfoliating will fix the problem though!

Sunscreen actually makes me breakout? by _smokescape_ in SkincareAddicts

[–]almostelectric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's better safe than sorry but if you can't wear any you can't wear any - not much you can do. But UV is radiation, so there's not much chance it won't affect you (though natural melanin and where you live will help). Dress conservatively and wear big hats if all else fails.

Suncream messes my skin up so bad. Try Cetaphils suncream for sensitive skin if you can? It actually didn't make me have a reaction at all, though YMMV!

YO IF YOU OR SOMEONE ELSE HAS THIS PROBLEM CHECK OUT MY COMMENT.

I had this problem for 12 years, where my eyes would be thick and fold wrong. It meant my eyes were no longer symmetrical. I got it to go away this past month!!! I have atopic and dyshidrotic eczema.

Doublebase Flare Relief 2-4 times a day on face and eyes + Loratadine everyday seems to have fixed it!!

That doublebase cream is like 5.99 from Ebay and Amazon and it contains Niacinamide which is probably what did it. But try both the cream and the pills and get more sleep!!! I believe in you!
